January 2021 Transfer Window

How does Brexit play in all this. Will any non UK player now need a work permit and therefore have to pass the scoring system to get one and of course delay any transfer?

Any new player coming into the league needs a WP, although the rules aren’t clear yet. This WP may be easier to get than under current EU rules.

All current EU players are given an automatic right to work in the UK, at least for the length of their contract.

Yeah I had read it was going to be more difficult, at least in regard to buying players for development or who are younger and not established. I tried to look into if a guy like Vitinha would have been eligible but it seemed far too gray and area at the time it was announced.

I just hope rebalancing the squad means bringing some experience in

Jovic trending on Twitter. Seems to be for not playing for Real.

I wouldn’t even say he’s better than Silva tbh! His touch, strength, hold up play with his back to goal were the worst elements of his play.

Wrote this in the verdict thread, but would we be able to take Vinicius on a half-season loan?

He hasn't been playing at all at Spurs and it could be a short-term solution. He's much better than what he has shown so far there. He knows how to push it in for goals and is not as bad with the ball as some others we have.

No way he's as good as Raul, not even close, but at least he's a much better striker than Silva at this point.

Nope. Played for both Benfica and Tottenham this season.

Spurs wouldn't loan him to a rival, even if they could.

Nope, anywhere in the world.

Ben Arfa once got a move to France cancelled as he'd played for Newcastle U23s (!) and Hull pre-January.

Can't see any premier team selling to us. I think it'll either be from the championship or abroad if a player comes in.

Patrick would suit the 4231 better, as he is quite good at pressing and gets in good goalscoring positions. His link up play isn’t as strong (though I think his first touch is fine).

I don’t see it happening at all though, nor would I expect fans to be happy when they would want a new signing. I’d be about OK with it as long as we then invested in a really good wide player/attacking midfielder.
