Josh King would seem to fit the bill...would they let him go and what would he cost?
Not even short term? then a good option out wide when Rauls back?He wants to leave and Bournemouth either get something now or nothing in the summer. But with where they are in the table they might take the view that promotion is worth more than a lowish bid due to his contract status (as we did in ye olden days with Miller, and showed how it can backfire as we didn't go up and he went for free).
Regardless though he is not a Raul replacement, not even close. Good to have in the squad if his attitude is right - there's been a lot of dicking around with agents over the last year with him apparently, which doesn't sound great - but you wouldn't want him as the main striker. Not with the way we play at any rate.
Agree with this. Boly is prone to losing concentration and having Coady alongside him helps counter that. Saiss and Coady are not really quick enough and whilst Saiss is good aerially in the opponent's box he is prone to losing his man in his own box. Coady has always struggled against big, powerful forwards. Kilman is a bit cumbersome as well. Oddly Marcal might be best suited to a back 4 but hasn't played there for us yet.I'm desperate for us to sign a centre back. If we're playing 4 at the back then I'm sorry but I don't rate any of our options currently. It hasn't been helped by the injuries and constant chopping and changing but we haven't kept a single clean sheet using this shape and there have been so many examples of rank individual errors in recent weeks.
Saïss and Coady probably look the most comfortable of the lot but that's not saying much. The consistent brain farts and lapses in concentration are costing us goals. You also have the issue where Nuno clearly doesn't trust Saïss on the right hand side any more.
Kilman is a very good defender when we're deep in our shape but has a shocking lack of pace when he's been turned and for all the talk of his futsal background is the worst on the ball out of all the CBs. Another one who Nuno doesn't trust at RCB in a back 3. If he's only really looking good at LCB in a formation that we're using less and less is there really any point in him occupying a spot in a small squad?
Before we'd ever seen the back 4 Boly was the only one who I'd have backed to be able to really shine in that formation (and on both sides). He's clearly not in form right now though and has now picked up an injury.
Hoever/Marçal - Clearly nowhere near being serious options at CB if we've not seen either of them there given the amount of change we're seeing across the back line week to week.
I agree, but signing a decent CB or a decent backup for Raul has eluded us since we came up. I doubt we'll be able to solve both in one transfer windowI'm desperate for us to sign a centre back. Yeah but who?I just posted on the verdict thread that Tim from the athletic was a guest on wolves comms yesterday, and said we are working from a listbof 40, yes fourth, possible centre forwards.
Yeah but who?

He isn't the answer. I wouldn't be adverse to trying it if all parties were in agreement but there's going to be a lot of grief if it fails.
Only if he met certain appearance criteria IIRC - which seems unlikely to happen.I thought there was a requirement to buy from Fiorentina? If there is then I wouldn't be breaking that to give Cutrone a 2nd chance, I would be holding them to that and looking to take a chance on another striker, personally. No ill will to Cutrone but I don't think we are likely to recoup the money if we bring him back and he doesn't work out.
Unlikely is optimistic. They have made it clear he won’t be starting games and triggering the clause.Only if he met certain appearance criteria IIRC - which seems unlikely to happen.
