January 2021 Transfer Window

Forest played him on the wing in a few games but he did play up front for them too and he still looked terrible. Didn't score a single goal.
I remember watching him v Milwall. He was lost, got zero service, couldn't hold onto the ball and was lucky to escape a red. Got subbed at HT and his replacement scored a few mins after the restart. I think by that point he just wanted to go home.
Picked himself back up though and I doubt he will be too keen to leave Spain anytime soon

Cutrone won't be coming back. I don't think Nuno would have been happy his attitude.

Fabrizio Romano - Diego Costa would love to return to the Premier League. He had some bids from Brazilian and Turkish clubs the day after he ended his contract with Atletico Madrid but decided to wait a bit. He is in no rush.
He hopes to receive some bids from the Premier League. At the moment I don't have anything confirmed about Wolves. There are a lot of rumours but nothing advanced.
But for sure, Diego is waiting for a call from the Premier League. He would love to come back, he loves the atmosphere.

Er, yeah. Good luck with that last bit, Mr C.

That's the person to rely on for the real transfer news. I'd love him here, but i just don't think it's going to happen, even though i think he would do a great job for us. Even his name on the team sheet would frighten the opposition! For sure even a crocked Deigo Costa is an upgrade on Fabio.
Kenny, was this on his twitter page? I can't find it on there.

12 league goals in three years and he's increasingly broken. I think he's spent more weeks suspended for Atletico than league goals scored, and definitely more weeks injured. He's no use to us in the stands. Even less so when he'd be costing us way more than our current highest earner does a week.

It's a firm no from me, it's one of those name signings that managers like Pardew tend to make when they panic.

What was he on, a quarter of a mil a week ?

Seems he's marmite to some here. Fair enough.
I am a bit concerned that it seems we aren't going to get anyone in this window. It seems everything Nuno has said in the last couple of days point to fixing it from the inside. With one striker who can't hold the ball up, and couldn't head the ball if his life depended on it that doesn't bode well for the rest of the season.
"We are ready to get a striker in January" must of been code for "fuck it, we'll just carry on as we are".

It's the 4th mate! And the window didn't open until the 2nd. And we played a match on one of those three days.

Ignore rumours (or even lack of them) as most of them are just made up.

I'd rather wait and get the right player - who if it's a permanent deal, will be of actual use to us beyond May - than sign crap like Origi or someone like Costa who as brilliant as he was, is simply way past it.

I don't think it's Costa or nobody at all.

If you listen to TWF's Greek correspondent, Spiers and Burrows reckon we have 474478643567 names on a list.

I know, but considering we knew we needed a striker a month ago i figured we'd have already got one wrapped up. Getting one (whoever it is) sooner helps them bed into the team quicker. Every game is a struggle without one, as we can clearly see from the recent performances.

We may well stop being linked with Khedira as it sounds like he is going to Everton

He'd be fantastic, but wages would be a stumbling block.
