January 2021 Transfer Window

Don't get why would they get rid of Giroud really. Wouldn't they need 2 players coming in then

Because Werner should be playing through the middle. He’s wasted out wide. Him and Abraham for the striker options.

Yeah was thinking won't they need a couple of wingers if that happens, or just be in the same position without Werner to go there

They’ve got Pulisic and Ziyech but can’t seem to get them on the pitch together! I suppose Hudson-Odoi can play out wide but they are a bit bare beyond that. Would make sense to let Giroud go and move Werner central then invest out wide. Mind you I’d be letting Abraham go as well as he’s not really that good.

Top flight football has had plenty of players that go on a short scoring spree at some stage in their career but as time moves on everyone can see that run is out of keeping with the rest of their career. I'm pretty sure Tammy Abraham is going to join that list.

Unless Chelsea splash a lot more cash Giroud has a big role to play for them so no chance of him coming here.

Missed the Cutrone discussion on here yesterday. I have no desire to watch him miscontrol a simple, short pass straight off his shin again. For someone described as one of the biggest talents in Italian football, his control was shocking. He's not particularly quick - his finishing/shooting wasn't even that great, lets be honest.

We can do a lot better and his sulky attitude at not being a God given guaranteed starter was extremely poor for someone being given such a good opportunity at a club on an upward curve in the Premier League. Basically, no ta to him.

Chelsea won't sell us Giroud (and I'm not sure he'd want the move either). After last night there are 2 points separating us and them in the table. Before kick off, most had Chelsea down as genuine title challengers, and we've not hit full speed yet either. I would say there's no doubts they'll view us as direct rivals and I can't see them a) selling him to a rival and b) if they were open to it, they'd probably price us out of a deal.

Rondon *could* do a job, but I (and I assume Fosun) want better than "doing a job". Not sure what his record is like since he left Newcastle.

Agree to a certain extent about Rondon but any player coming in is likely to playing 2nd or 3rd fiddle to Raul and Silva....be hard to get anyone worth having

The obvious way out is to go to 3-4-2-1 and get a narrow front 3 of Silva, Pod and Neto working but he seems reluctant to do this, yet this is the formation we’ve had the most success with.
I never do this as I don't particularly like it but fuck it, I'm claiming last night's victory and I didn't even need Cyber's tealeaves. :)

Link? Watching Nuno smile/hug players/generally be a legend is one of my favourite pastimes.

Every Wolves fan wants Nuno to smile at them like that then give him a big man hug. Little Owen is one lucky dude

I want my wife to hug me the way Neto hugs Neves at the end,

(or anyones wife to be honest with you)
