January 2020 transfer window

I did see something re Gedson that says West Ham might be looking elsewhere, specifically at Fellaini :icon_lol:

Never change Moysey

“He had a strong impact, fluid and blood on the injury, he’s going to be scanned again next week. After the scan we wait and determine better his return.”

Seems like ages ago but it was only just over a week! Stupid time of year.

Very true.

I've seen him a few times in the reserves and it's fair to say he didn't stand out as a player you would say would get a first team contract.

I'm sure he's a lovely lad but at best he's Lg1.

Yeah seen a few people say this on here I think (who have seen him for under etc). Shame

Because it's only January 10th and neither you nor I know that this hasn't happened yet, or what stages any potential transfer is at. If there are any at all, of course.

I've simply never understood the point of worrying about something we can never know the full details of before we reach the point where we need to worry about it.

Far more useful to worry about how the fuck I'm going to get served in an acceptable amount of time in the pub before the game tomorrow.

Is there a 'most sensible poster on the forum' award

Bum bag wearin', Doctor who lovin', 2 balled bitch

(it's from Paul pls don't ban me)

Are bum bags not fashionable any more then?

Ha ha i am told by loads of folk here, turn ups are coming back, but this is Greece, must have ten pairs in the wrdrobe all very good quality but haven't been off the hanger for 30 years ha ha ha

The modern equivalent is an Adidas man bag? (Roadman status optional)

confused as to why people are also referring repeatedly to the costa & cav deals? we knew they were moving on and weren't part of the plan, and haven't featured, so other than affecting our balance sheet and wages bill (positives), football wise there's no impact, except to sedgley and the ex wolf thread.

I anticipate 2 signings minimum, one, possibly both being forwards.

interesting Johnny suggesting origi, as there were previous links to him in summer. babel did well at fulham, but would he work for us?

I expect whoever we sign to be a surprise.

Im getting a dreadful feeling we will not be signing a forward with the cutrone deal cancelled. We must sign a mid/def to replace jesus surely

We don't need to replace Vallejo, Boly is back soon which takes us to at least seven options at centre half (Boly, Coady, Dendoncker, Bennett, Saiss, Kilman and Otasowie, you can arguably chuck Sanderson into the mix too if he doesn't go out on loan). All of them were ahead of him already.

There's enough depth there to mean that we can still use Saiss/Donck as midfield options when required. We could of course just buy another midfielder, arguably we should, but it's nothing to do with Jesus leaving (which he actually hasn't yet). He's as relevant as Ofosu-Ayeh or Graham leaving, they are/were in our PL squad too.

Our reserve team back up place for place

Ruddy
Bennett no cover Kilman

Buur mgw jordao Vinagre

Perry BAS Neto

Harsh. But it shows how we lack depth.

That eleven would struggle in the championship let alone the prem I am afraid.

Bennett would play in the middle, he did against Villa in the League Cup and was fine.

Surely Saiss would be available in this notional team if Boly, Coady and Donck are the first choice back three and Neves and Moutinho are the midfield starters.

Boly and Jota are injured. Fair casll for Bennett but he isn't Coady. .

I looked at the top ten squads on line. I think that 11 would lose to all the other top ten sides bar Sheffield united who would start with Leon Clarke up front!

Neto doesn't belong in your team then, does he?

Pointless exercise as we are never going to have all 11 first choice players out at the same time.

For all the flapping about his quality or lack of, I would be very surprised if Benny Ashley-Seal started any Premier League games in this or any other season, regardless of what happens.
