January 2020 transfer window

Yeah, but don't forget we have Boly and Gibbs-White returning from injury so they'll be like "new signings".

Wolves don't operate in a bubble outside of the rest of football. Look at other clubs:

Chelsea: Literally couldn't sign anyone in the summer. Knew months ago they'd be appealing the ban. Knew weeks ago they'd won. Signings: 0

Man Utd: Had a shit midfield in the first place. Worst overall team they've had since the 80s. Now have two first choice midfielders injured. Signings: 0

Tottenham: Squad had been going stale for a while. Loads of injuries now including their one striker (this is an actual injury, not the hypothetical ones Raul seems to pick up every day). Signings: 0

Everton: Just brought in big name manager surely with an eye on competing at the high end of the market, otherwise he wouldn't have joined. Squad has gaps all over the place in terms of numbers and quality. Signings: 0

Nothing is happening, not just here.

How many of those clubs have a squad of 15 senior first team players?

So I take it everyone would have been much happier if we made Cutrone stay here until Jan 31st, whilst not playing him in case he picked up an injury? So that he didn't leave before we signed someone else, and all for some token rubbish to appease idiots that get their knickers in a twist about the arbitrary order we do our business in.

Well, United have a load of old shite like Young, Jones, Rojo, current day Matic, current day Mata, Lingard, Pereira, Chong etc who I wouldn't want anywhere near our club. Not sure that's a better state of affairs tbh.

It's still left us worse off though as even though he wasn't being used very often who would you rather have to bring on if needed for 10-15 minutes, or if Raul got injured? Cutrone or BAS?
.

Well obviously Patrick but I am not Nuno and he had a different view on things and he it the king on these matters.

On BAS. I essentially watched the game online and didn't listen to the stuff at HT or FT. Was BAS injured in the 1st half or ill? I was concerned for him on his first run with the ball as it looked like his legs had gone. He is way quicker than he showed in that game

Does that make it easier to get players in?

My point being, they already have a reasonable squad size to cope with injuries to players.

Would you rather have Lucas Moura, Mason Greenwood or Benny Ashley-Seal starting games in the PL?

No point in keeping an unhappy player who wants to return home - is it better to get a replacement in before he goes, clearly yes, but life doesn't always work out the way you want it to.

We still have 3 weeks to deal with this and as Deutsch has said not much else of real note has been signed in the PL as yet - we do have a thin squad & need support but not going to fuss about it just yet.

So one of the reasons that we can't get players in is because clubs wait to get in replacements before they sell, yet the idea that we do the same with Cutrone would be to appease idiots?

I don't think that BAS is near a starting spot in the league at the moment. We have options should we suffer further injury problems. I'm in agreement that another forward is required.

I’m not saying BAS was bad, but he looked like he’d come second in the same competition that Jesus Vallejo had won a few months back.

Yep, if Raul got injured and Jota were still out, we would almost certainly go with a front two of Neto and Traore for now and play three in midfield.

Quite why people are so fixated on Raul getting injured as if it's an inevitability is a mystery.

Of course we do need a forward.

Lots of talk about Gedson coming to us on twitter.

Now seems that he is a Mendes client (this appears to be a recent thing) so an easy link I guess. Also talk that he has been offered to Spurs who need a midfielder with Ndombele doing his German Phil impression, Wanyama permanently broken and Sissoko out for virtually all of the season.

What are those options?

A few have said on here that Vinagre could take up a wide left forward role too. Not too sure myself but it is another option.
