This conflict started in 1948, one day after the state of israel was formed.
The arab nations, en masse decided to wipe out israel before it got started, but k8nda fucked that up badly, so israel continued to exist.
The first major terrorist attacks against the ztate of israel began in 1953, when the Fedayeen terror group attacked israel, from the gaza strip, no less.
 
Well. Alex popped through the joint rather prior to the three religions kicking off over the joint right now. It was a pit stop on the chase after Darius which was mostly in Turkey (battle of Issus) and somewhere in northern Iraq (battle of Gaugamela).

He sort of must have gone through Palestine to reach Egypt and found Alexandria but I don’t remember him doing much fighting there. Anyway Alex didn’t give a shit about his religion or indeed that of anybody else. He was all about conquer and expand as he wanted the biggest empire on earth.

Moving it forward around 250 years and the Romans were about and obviously had a governor in Judea but most of the conquest actual fighting stuff was really Anatolia to get at the Parthians or kicking shit out of each other against Sassanid Persia.

There certainly was a lot more scrapping such as the Jewish revolt though and Rome made it a hobby to impose their religion on those they conquered.
 
The cause of this is a clash between Judaism and Islam. As Leeds says Islam is a later religion than Alex or the Romans, who were Byzantines by that time period.

It’s a putrid situation, I’m new to this debate.
I hate the way you’re supposed to choose a side in this.
The way I see it I can see both grievances, Palestinians have felt pushed and under heavy handed occupation since the end of WW2. Israel are living in what is their ancient natural home. The perfect scenario would be 2 nations in the region, that’s a long, long way off. Hamas are as big as hateful organisation as you can imagine as are hezzbollah. Their actions in southern Israel add up to nothing more than war crimes/ terrosism. Nevertheless Israel indiscriminately bombing isn’t justification for this, I know civilians are collateral damage in war but the levels of children being killed or orphaned is totally unacceptable in Gaza.
