Israel-Palestine

Not if it's the God who wrote about Jihad in the Quran. Like in the Torah, there's some mighty bloodthirsty and ambiguous stuff in there...
Very unusual for humans to have ulterior and violent motives.

If you believe it's God's hand rather than your own doing the killing, I'm sure that can make a difference. I know you're not going to agree with me on this one 😅

500 killed in a hospital apparently

Israel says nothing to do with them guv, they don’t attack civilians it’s a Hamas rocket attack gone wrong they claim

Is it naive of me to hope that this might do their regime some significant damage politically and in the media?

Yes, there seems to be a need to be on the side of Israel, particularly with the right wing media.

Politically it'll need a shift from the US to change anything materially. I don't think Iran, attacking via Hezbollah are helping either. Israel are looking like the only victim.

A smidge, but the optimism is admirable.

Jordan have pulled the plug on the meeting now after the hospital bombing. Its hard to see where this ends now, the biggest fear will be it spreading across the region.

Seems a bit 'too bad to be true'. If Israel is responsible I cannot see how it is politically beneficial to them in any way.
I wouldnt have thought it could happen 'by accident' with a modern well trained army and systems.
Surely it wouldnt happen deliberately?

There is footage out there that strongly suggests this is a faulty Hamas rocket.

This is an incredibly complicated situation. Some evidence suggests that it was a Hamas rocket. It is not believable.

I support neither side in this. It has been going on for so many decades I almost stopped following Israeli politics. My feeling was that no matter who was in charge the Palestinians would suffer the most. And that has proven true over many decades.

I am fairly certain that when the IDF enters Northern Gaza the factions on Israel's borders with Lebanon and Syria will start a significant issue. But the IDF are prepared for this. It is why we have not seen much action on the borders yet. Also Hamas has been desperately trying to get the West Bank to turn a shade of red. So far the IDF have managed to contain it and they may well do so for the foreseeable.

At the bottom line it is China, Russia and Iran as the axis of resistance against the countries we all would prefer to live in.

Not Hamas; Islamic Jihad, an afflilated terror group.

No side is exactly trustworthy, so who knows where responsibility lies right now. It's a horrific loss of life in what should be a place of sanctuary though

You are on ignore mr PK. But I saw your post when I was not logged in:

And so IJ are also considered to be a likely culprit. But we know the IDF don't care about civilian casualties, I struggle to see how anyone can argue otherwise. Hamas, LH and IJ don't care about civilian casualties either. That much is evident. What we are seeing is different ethnic groups of different religions killing each other with abandon. The IDF hit the hospital. I think the evidence for this will become more and more apparent as this goes on. We will not know the exact truth for several years, maybe.

To make things clearer, the IDF have hit the Gaza Strip side of the crossing into Egypt repeatedly in this war.

“See it really wasn’t that bad, no way hundreds died there in what was an explosion that was down to us but let’s blame the other side just to be sure”

Wrap the above in an Israeli or Palestinian flag and it works either way.

Yes of course it does. But the available evidence points to an IDF strike.
