He needs to go. We are wasting a season, potentially our final one with Neves and a single one of Nunes, with this joker.

I fully expect us to be on less than 7 points now after 10 games. We will be bottom 3, if not bottom, and will be scrapping all season. He should have gone in the summer, he needs to go now.

Brighton are the perfect comparison. We've both played a sky 6 side away, both played Newcastle and Leeds. They've had West Ham away as well, and we had Fulham home. They're on 10 points, we are on 2. Our squad and individual players are better than theirs. The manager is the difference.

Newcastle is the best comparison really and they are absolutely streets ahead.

That and they have been playing and training in their system for 3 seasons. As pointed out earlier Brighton went something like 14 games without a win and have hovered above the relegation zone quite often. They also struggled to score goals regularly.

Massively unfair comparison given the quality of players at their disposal though

Lage has had over 12 months with this squad, bar a couple of recent additions. I don't see why we should waste time 'waiting and seeing' or giving him a chance with this squad. He's not up to it, so get rid before it's too late

He was bought in as a relatively cheap option and has delivered results that (over the full duration of his tenure) match both his profile and salary. No more no less. If we have designs on continuing to establish ourselves as a top ten team, and the outlay this window suggests that’s still the case. Then it’s a case of when he gets the boot not if.

He is what he is, a limited coach who simply does not have what it takes to effectively manage what is a very talented group of players in the premier league.

What system, because they've regularly switched between various ones. Keep signing and selling a lot of players too.

Finished above us last season, will finish above us this season.

Not sure why you keep defending a terrible manager, personally I hate us averaging miles below a point a game for months on end (a point a game being fucking shit in itself).

Perfect analogy.

You don’t hear Brighton fans whingeing about “we desperately need a striker”…….those boys have ‘needed a striker” for about five years.

Meanwhile, let’s not forget, we just spent £30m (yes, thirty million quid) on one a couple of weeks ago.

While Potter continues to sell all his best players (Burn, Bissouma, White, Maupay, Cucarella) and is up there with the big boys.

That club, their business strategy, their players and their manager should be the absolute envy of every Wolves fan.

Imagine our squad with Graham Potter in charge.

To me he's a backroom/no.2 at the very best. He doesn't have the charisma, the communication skills, man management, let alone ability, to be top dog. He is what he is.

Now Fosun seem to have rediscovered their ambition and wallets, they need to be ambitious regarding the manager/head coach too and abandon this experiment. No good driving a Ferrari and having it serviced by Gary at his house down the road

He's not even a good tactician though, I thought that would be one of his strengths but I have absolutely zero idea what style we are supposed to be playing.

Those outgoing Brighton transfers compared to Wolves' outgoings could be viewed the other way. The clubs those players have gone to perhaps suggest they aren't the team full of no-hopers they're being painted to be. Whereas Wolves' team of superstar internationals can only boast one recent departure who has attracted enough attention to trade up to a better club.

Bruno isn’t in the same league as Potter and frankly levelling potter up with Bruno because of a 15 game winless run is a very narrow window.
Looking at the bigger picture, Potter’s in his 11th season in first team management took what is even by Swedish standards a small club to, two promotions and a domestic cup Swansea were left in a good position when left also. BHA are in a better position than when he got there.
Put it this way he had far more evidence of performance than Bruno had when things weren’t going so well.
He’s not the messiah but I’d have him over Bruno in a heart beat.

I'm sure I read he's got a £10m release fee, but I'd happily sell a donk/Podence to pay for Potter. I wanted him post Nuno, and I don't think I'll stop wanting him until he inevitably ends up at bug six club and it's too late.

Meanwhile our actual No.2 Tony “top bantz” Roberts seems just as in charge of running the show of Lage. Not got a clue what the rest of the backroom staff do apart from hand out water bottles when there’s a break.

I wasn't defending him. I was pointing out a poor comparison.

Sooner he’s gone now the better, he just continues to talk absolute bollocks with that stupid grin on his face.
It’s as if he’s actually taking the piss, the ultimate WUM!

But he hasn't 'drilled them for 3-4 years' as you say because they don't stick to one system and have a squad that regularly changes.

He's a good manager and Lage is a shit manager.

He's not coming here, allegedly turned utd down last year.

Watched EFL highlights this morning on ITV and it just reminds how much I do not miss second tier football. So reality is if like us to stay away from it for as long as is possible to point it becomes a distant memory.
Unfortunately with Bruno in charge we’re running a serious risk of going down.

How is it a poor comparison? Brighton have had very similar opening fixtures to us, arguably we have had the easier set of 4, yet we are 8 points behind them. That's the point I'm making.

As has been pointed out, Potter has had more first choice players leave also so has had to integrate new players into his system. Something Bruno hasn't been able to do whilst picking up wins

We've acquired a nasty habit of not being able to get a PL win over the line, very dangerous and he needs to sort it this week
