Good people of Britain...........PANIC

Family down in Ilfracombe have had that message this evening.

Hoping the power stays on for my Dad or else his oxygen machine will be a bit useless

Bus company I worked for in Machynlleth has cancelled all services tomorrow for safety reasons, lots of angry people on social media having a go at them saying it’ll be fine, man up, it’s only a bit of wind etc etc, those same people would be screaming why did you send the buses out in bad weather if something happened.
It’s no fun driving a decker in strong winds, and definitely not fun along the Tywyn to Dolgellau coast road in a bus

Ferocious winds here since 1am. I'm st my Dads place on the eastern coast and was woken several times during the night by what sounding like a jet engine roaring in the garden. Thought the windows were going to come in on top of me.
Nervous to see what damage this storm has done back at my house. The neighbourhood WhatsApp is showing fences and rooves of sheds gone

Yep was a rough one. Power went off about midnight, not expected on till 5pm.
Going to be long day.
Image fair bit of damage outside.

Busy holding pattern overhead and no wonder looking at some of the rollercoaster landings on Big Jet TV.

And we’re not even getting the worst of it either

I've just landed into LHR on an A380 after a failed first attempt and a go around. Size and systems of that plane normally cope. Someone vomited 🤢 which inevitably had a knock on effect on others, not being helped by delays due to there being no available stands for the a380. Felt for the cabin crew, seriously tetchy passengers.

Been watching this morning. Even he’s gone off to have a break because he’s too wet!

Was going to fly to Guernsey tomorrow morning. I've rescheduled for Monday as I reckon there will be cancellations today and it will knock on to tomorrow with planes and crew not where they're scheduled to be.

Been quite lucky here so far, 24 hours of torrential rain, the wind keeps gusting hard and blowing my gate open, plus the bins everywhere. Next doors fence is hanging by a thread.
No-where near as bad as others in the country though, hope everyone keeps safe.

Lost a fence panel which had its escape route stopped by the neighbours car.
Shared boundary so we will of course end paying for the new panel to ensure it's in place quickly.

A 7ft conifer in my garden is desperately fighting to stay in the ground.

Santa hat on my stag has blown off.

Rough day....

Two panels down, neighbours responsibility who don’t give a fuck, so I’ll end up having to sort it out.

Just dropped the wife off at work. 5 mile journey. OK on the way there, 3 large trees down & blocking roads on the way back.
Did say to her I'd put the car in the garage for the afternoon in case of debris flying about. Glad I did as less than 2 minutes after pulling into the garage a roof tile came off, landing where the car was.
Looked out the back window & can see part of the fence has come apart.

The locals Facebook page here is just pics of trees that are falling over. Seems every main road away from here is getting blocked.

Local farmers and businesses are doing a grand job in assisting clear them away

Same with Bridgnorth. Kidderminster, Stourbridge, Wolverhampton, Telford and Shrewsbury roads all blocked by fallen trees it seems

Not been too bad here luckily. Winds are getting up a bit but nothing to cause any damage so far.

Been consistent here all day with the wind. Looks like it's staying like this until tomorrow lunch
