Good people of Britain...........PANIC

My weather app is saying it's only 41% humidity. Feels more than that.

The scots on the news moaning about their 25 degree heatwave.

25 degrees my arse. Grey skies, high winds and rain. Wheelie bins being blown all over the shop outside my flat.

Just picked mini Langers up from school and stepping out of his air conditioned classroom into the heat was like the blast of hot air you get when you get off the plane on holiday.

I can't remember the last time it was this intense in the UK.

Where are you sending him to school!!! Eton :)

Don't know of many state schools with that luxury for the few days a year its needed.

Where I am everyone else has been finding excuses to invade my office as its on the north side of the building, shaded by a large tree outside & therefore at least 10c cooler than the rest of the school.

(mind you they all complain about the cold in the winter as well - badly designed heating system where to get enough heat in the newer part, the old Victorian part of the school with its cast iron radiators is blasting out so much heat that all the windows that end get opened)

I've had a lovely day by the sea in Bournemouth. Blue skies, sun and a nice breeze off the sea. Better than sitting in 30 plus degrees in my non air conditioned office in Coseley.

Actually not been to bad down here (I'm only 30 miles from Bournemouth) - bit toasty between 1 & 3pm, but a very pleasant eve now

Lycan is heading home now... He's had enough

It's dead grim up north Mike.

For once I'm loving sleeping in an air-conditioned hotel room :)

Can see this being the worst night's sleep I've had in a long time.

Can't you lot get those 'snap towels' where you douse them in water, wring, and snap, and instantly you have an ice cold towel to wrap around your neck or other hot bits.

Midnight and it's still 27 sodding degrees. Never known it this hot at this time before.

Not sure what's worse, Last night or tonight. It's probably hotter tonight but the fact that I will accept I won't sleep after how I was last night helps. But the increased tiredness and how I will feel tomorrow doesn't!
