Good people of Britain...........PANIC

I'm scared and have started rationing our toilet roll usage #batteningthehatches

Might I suggest that if the short delay in waiting for or getting round someone who was stationary caused you to miss your train that even without the interruption you would have been hard pushed to have boarded your chosen service?

Nope. There was a 15/20 second delay due to her faffing and getting in people's way. I got to the train not 5 seconds after the doors closed. I'd have made it sans faff delay.

No snow in Leicestershire, and I am reliably informed that darkest Lincolnshire has not seen any white stuff yet...

Should leave more than a 20 second buffer really. Poor planning, no contingency allowed for.

Don't tell me how to commute. I wouldn't tell Deutsch how to speak German or LJ how to grow vegetables.

That told you.

Honestly. This forum. You try to help people, & it gets thrown in your face!

Should I call an ambulance for that Langers burn :)

And if that poor lady's central heating does break down, we all know who to blame...!

I retract my previous comments. It is now snowing in Hinckley. That is the A5 and M69 gridlocked in the morning...

Nah - stopped in Pendeford. That was just a little first bit. The proper long period of snow isn't supposed to be here until around 8

This is a weather warning for wintry weather starting around 17:30 this evening for the Cannock Chase and surrounding area. Snow showers sometime turning sometimes heavy and prolonged through the evening and overnight. This could lead to some hazardous driving conditions.

I'd set off for work now if I were you mate.

btw, I live south end of Stafford, not far from the chase and there's sod all snow here.

All looking a bit anti-climactic.

Someone at work was checking the weather reports earlier and it looked like everywhere was set for a solid 12 hours of snow, drove through a thick patch between Burton and Fradley on my way home then it was just coming down lightly a few places between there and home, was playing football 8-10 and it was stop/start snowing then but nothing stuck on the ground.

You watch now i'll drive up to work in the morning and end up stranded at the bottom of the big fuck off hill 5 minutes from the office.
