General Wolves News

You'll get your money back if you ask for it.

You won't! I've called them today and been refused a refund.

My issue isn't so much the domestic cup game vs Europa game (as pointed out they've said you'll get the difference in price as Wolves cash). My issue is its a refund on their terms only (first available domestic cup game). What if I can't make the first available cup game!

No again at this stage a refund should have been offered (like it was those who chose it earlier) club treating people who had a little faith in us making Europe with absolute distain.

And its taken them 3 fucking weeks to do it!

They can't do that legally. Sale of Goods Act I think is the relevant statute. Lawyers on here will be able to confirm

I didn't think so either but Dominque on the phone confirmed he can't do a refund.

He did suggest I could email a complaint it....this makes me think they may well offer refunds to those who really kick up a fuss but try and hide it away from the majority.

Lovely supporter relations eh!

Cash flow issues anyone?

Obviously thinking their own fans won't give a shit about £30+ or their legal right and they are probably right. it will be such a small number of people who kick up a fuss about they will be able to handle it. Its not as if those "customers" will take their business elsewhere.

I would suggest contacting Joey E&S and let him loose on the clubs PR on this matter but he would cause about as much damage as a goldfish attacking a bear....so its either take it on the chin or ask your card issuer to do a chargeback

Glad that I asked (& got) the refund when first offered - will I end up giving them money back when we are allowed in again, quite possibly.

Whilst all clubs will be feeling the financial pain of the closed doors this is minor in the total income spectrum of the club - should have just refunded everyone else when it was clear that no one could attend.

I'll write something if you want.

Its the fact they don't care that some fans will give a shit that's the most annoying.

You say its not many but my postings etc on social media are getting a lot of attention (especially compared with my limited following etc) which suggests it does annoy plenty.

Pah no way would I ever contact any idiot from the Guess and Stir.

Don't worry I've contacted the Fans Parliament (not that they'll do anything too scared to upset their cushy number with the club) and FSF.

.

Its how many of those annoyed that take action that count. 1 thing being Mr or Mrs Angry on the Internet but unless they all contact the club direcly or indirectly to complain it will be brushed off as a minor thing as only a few contacted them.

Pacamac, PM me if you like geez so I've got the full story. Then I'll write something up either today or tomorrow.

The club do read what I write, they know who I am, and obviously I've got a big audience on Twitter.

Hmmmmm. That’s trying to disavow the statutory rights of the consumer. They won’t get away with that one.

Personally I don't they are ignoring the law or trying to rip people off but hiding behind the protected status they get from having a customer base that won't piss off and take their custom to a rival. Pushed hard enough they will what it is right but not doing what is right from the off is proper crappy and should be pointed out

You going to tell them the response to this fiasco has been as good as the second northern uproar album, or handled as well as dean Saunders denying he's been drink driving? Probably not thinking about it

I have a friend who was taking part in the cancelled / postponed Ironman event on the south coast this summer.

Ironman are adamant that no refund is due and that the offer of a space in next year’s event discharges their rights in full. Very shady - but having looked into it for the friend, it’s not quite as open and shut in terms of the law as you might think. Nevertheless I think Wolves are on even worse ground, given there is no argument that the same event is simply happening on a later date!

Similarly, Velo Midlands was cancelled with no refunds offered and no future event rescheduled.
