General Wolves News

Parking the Fosun connection, it's a big blow for the PL and a decent revenue stream that'll hit all clubs. Couple that with the deal in the Middle East also straining, it's a challenge for the new Chief Exec

You could easily imagine the Chinese government might be advising their businesses to limit any investment in UK companies, just in case things turn sour and they have to pull them out.

This news will go down well with other European leagues and UEFA who were all getting very concerned about the spending power of all PL clubs.

Excuse me if I’m being stupid.... but we have literally turned a profit as a business the last 2 years, the money invested by Fosun is in loans back to them and they bought us for a very cheap relative to what we are now worth. One of the conditions of Morgan’s sale was investment in the club (not sure if this was cash injection rather than loan). Either way, they aren’t bankrolling us.

We had losses of £57m in 2017/18 but returned to a profit of £20m in 2018/19. Figures for last season aren't likely to be released any time soon so where we are with the impact of Covid 19 is anyones guess.

In 2019 accounts we owed Fosun £131m in loans (luckily they aren't charging us interest) although loans have been taken out with the Macquarie Bank since which may(?) have reduced that figure. They could make a large / huge profit if they sold us tomorrow but at the moment they are definitely bankrolling us.

I imagine We definitely will have turned a profit last season (europa league, bigger sponsorship, transfer fees in). The losses in the championship was only really the money Fosun had promised to invest plus loans to them (so they haven’t actually invested it), therefore they haven’t donated the money, it’s still there’s just in a different bank account.

Basically what I’m trying to say is they are not financially doping us and to an extent we are self sufficient, which could easily continue with further success in the transfer market even without Fosun as long and Mendes wanted to play ball.

The response to my email requesting a refund for the EL game

Adama has been given the all clear and is available for Spain's next game

Today was already pretty decent, then Jota scores on his first start for Portugal :disco:

Adama has posted something on twitter too, looks like he is out of the Spain game

Yeah UEFA have stepped in despite him being clear of covid so he should be returning to Wolves and ready to go next week

If that had been for us it would have been chalked off for handball by VAR.

anyone watch the game? did he do well for himself outside of the goal? nice to see he scored on his debut.
