General Wolves News

Ha, looking forward to Johnny's opinion on this [emoji854]

Thought the same re the bbc article - came here to post a link myself. Found it reasonably fair.

That was posted here a few days ago and my reaction then was the same as it is now. Meh.

Still doesn't tell you what he does other than be a glorified project manager and the headline is very misleading.

The BBC article is a fair and balanced one. Although I still can't find anywhere that Fosun own FOYO (which own part of Gestifute). As far as I can see they are two separate companies with Guo as Chairman of both.

Apparently Leeds owner approached Mendes on multiple occasions about doing a similar job to what he does at the Wolves and was told to do one, hence why he wrote to the EFL to complain about Wolves relationship with Mendes.

Doesn't surprise me in the slightest - I should imagine Uncle George didn't have to think too long about that offer.

Couldn't have anything to do with him being infamously insufferable.

Jorge's no fool.

Isn't he already in bed with another agent at Leeds? Only a shit one.

Watching the 03-04 “premier league years” season on sky. Crazy how much the game has changed since then in regards to tackles and violent conduct.

Must be crazy different you guys old enough to remember the 80s and beyond.

Of course I go back to the 60s and 70s - it’s a different game now, better pitches, more sophisticated fitness levels, less aggression - but I’m not so sure it’s a better game, as the skill was still evident in any era.

Please dig out videos of Leeds in the 70's, it'll be eye opening for you :)

There was a documentary on George Best just after his death and part of it highlighted the treatment he got.....looked brutal even to someone bought up on 60's/70's football
