Is it? I have a hard time imagining a young black man having never heard something like that in person before (with the obvious caveat that I'm speaking in terms of America and not Britain).

Something weird almost certainly went on behind the scenes with him last season but I would be surprised if that was it. If anything, I'd hope the club would have been even more patient with him in light of that if there was even a hint of suspicion that it had impacted his psyche.

Presumably they have no where near the sort of income streams that we were able to leverage (we have way more income than them given parachute payments), plus the presence of Mendes instantly makes it all dodgy. If the authorities bothered to follow the paper trail deep enough I'm fairly sure they'd expose a lot of corruption going on.

Pure stupidity and probably libellous too.

Good luck 'leveraging' those massive income streams when they are in L1 with a bunch of worthless overpaid crap on long term contracts.
