Cunha additional ban of 1 game. Back for Spurs

Mixed feelings with Cunha.

We’re all but safe now - just going to see him put himself in the shop window and leave for shirt buttons in a couple of months.

He’s been brilliant and a total dick in equal measures, for me.

£62.5m (around €75m) would put him in the top 30 most expensive transfers in the history of English football, it's hardly a pittance.

Basically the same fee as City received/paid for Julian Alvarez and Omar Marmoush in the last 12 months. You'd be stretching to make a case that he's miles better or more valuable than either of those.

Premier League proven adds a few £ms. I think 70-75m is his worth

Has he been a total dick as well? He's lost his head twice, other than that he seems like a lovely guy. Bully used to kick the shit out of people regularly, he got sent off in my first ever Wolves game for decking a Swindon player after he'd halfed Carlo Robinson, nobody ever said that we were better off without him.

He's been banned twice for stuff that happened outside of the game. That is dickish behaviour, although I do agree some, not so much on here, have gone OTT.

There's then subjective opinion around some of his performances in January, particularly Chelsea and the motivations behind that, leading to an upturn in effort once he got the contract

A stupid red card at Oldham in March 1997 arguably cost us promotion too. Went down to 10 men and lost against a team who got relegated. Missed subsequent very winnable away games at QPR and Reading as a result and we picked up one point.

Slightly different. Bully didn’t hold us to ransom over a new contract (that we didn’t need to give him) and leave us in potentially big trouble in a relegation fight…….when he’d done it once a couple of months earlier.

And I’m not saying we’re better off without him. Of course not. He’s one of the most talented players I’ve ever had the privilege of watching at Wolves.

I’m just saying that, now we’re safe, and he’s as good as gone at the end of the season - I’m just not overly fussed about watching him anymore.

To be fair Bully regularly used to sign new contracts when he had ages to run on current deals, and we didn't hand them over to him because we fancied being nice - it was being driven on his side.

He was also our highest paid player by an absolute mile for the entire last decade that he was here. As in not even close. Always on way more than players we were signing from established Premier League teams or highish profile ex-internationals.

I don't think knowing your own value is a sin, we all have to do it.

Was that the Darren Bullock "tackle"?

That was shocking! The kind of challenge that deserved a 6 month ban!

From memory he shouldn't have been sent off

Didn't Craig Fleming tell the ref not to send him off?

Don't put yourself in that position I would say.

I don't think I've ever seen footage of what he got sent off for though that's all I'm saying, and given the "victim" tried to stop the ref sending him off...
Sadly not on here, but you can marvel at how atrocious the defending and keeping is for the first two Oldham goals.

We lost three away games in a week (the other two at Stoke's shitpit of an old ground and Bradford) and I went to all of them.

Also managed to lose at home to Oldham (thereby giving them 20% of their entire tally of victories for the season), draw at home to Grimsby and draw away at Southend (abject team, didn't even make 40 points) that season, those three and Bradford were the bottom four. Lost twice to 18th placed Reading.

Yes I remember that collapse well. One of quite a few!

Jimmy Quinn had a personal vendetta against us.

11 points from 10 games (or 8 from 8 if you like, as Barnsley were up before we played at Vale) and 0 clean sheets when it mattered, courtesy of Mark "pin his quotes in the away dressing room" McGhee.

We were 2-0 down at QPR inside half an hour as well.
