2) A spelling out of a link to a stream
3) Someone saying " you can watch a stream somewhere" but not actually said where?


If its number 3. What can we do. Loads of instances across this forum where streams are talked about. We ban links or the names of sites that host them. We also stop posts that say "I have the stream PM me"

People post links to sites on how to avoid stories behind a paywall. People c&p the stories. No-one complains about that.(well on certain ones they do but Murdoch press ones get waved through as ok)

I think back when it was a problem it was because people were asking if there was a stream and then loads would be posting the links or saying PM me.
If a poster has just said you can stream it then that's a bit of nothing really.
The issue comes when this site is openly linking or naming such sites.

Hardly a pile on. I said it wasn't a good look for a mod to be saying it. Which I stand by. I wasn't pearl clutching, thanks - there was no faux-shock or outrage in what I said. I freely admitted that watching streams was commonplace and I wasn't judging anyone for doing it. I don't do it anymore, but I have my reasons for that. But I still don't think it was a great representation of the forum for a mod to be saying what he said.

Hypocritical? Not sure how, but happy to be enlightened.
