General Wolves News

I think we had all agreed here pre season that he was high risk even if he returned , no different to Jonny . There is no way that he would have sustained the intensity levels we saw last Saturday .
They were bringing him on as a sub in the first few matches , but that has stopped now , although he did start v Ipswich .

Don't think anyone expects him to lead the line for 90 minutes but surely in some games he can do 15-20 minutes at the end?
Pretty much what O'Neil says in the article. Firstly, Sasa apparently asked to come off after 55 minutes v Ipswich, but GoN does go on to say this:

“That’s where Sasa is, but there’s still stuff there that we can use and be a big threat for us, as we saw at Everton. We’ll try and maximise what he’ll bring.

He’s training hard and working hard, but maybe we’ve not seen enough from him yet to feel he would be leading the line for 90 minutes.
“But commitment-wise, he’s working his socks off, wants to improve and wants to commit to the group. He’ll have an impact, I’m sure. He obviously has extreme strengths in certain areas that we can utilise.”
Which I think is fair. Hopefully we start to see him a bit more regularly, but he didn't look fit to me against Ipswich so what O'Neil is saying makes sense.

With Hwang , Cunha and Neto playing well and jelling together as a trio up front , he might find it hard to break into the team anyway . Still , it's very early days and there will be a fair few games where those 3 just don't work well together and we'll need something different then with 30 minutes to go . If he can give us 20 minutes as a sub and be happy that he can work hard for those 20 minutes between now and Christmas , then he could be quite important to us .

George "low and hard, over the bar; the ball goes spinning away" Andrews from our radio commentary on The Wolf in the mid 2000s has died.

Don’t remember the name but guess I’d remember the voice. Just remember Bill Hatton and Pete Moody and the phrase that sticks in my head is “the deadlock yet to be broken”

He's the guy with the droning voice that replaced Bill and Pete.

Was it George who would accidentally unplug his mic every time the Wolves were about to score because he'd stand up out of excitement?
