General Wolves News

Its simple to me.

Raul was dropped to the bench due to struggling in the week in training with fatigue. Did his groin in the warm up and hasn't trained since. The "chronic" fatigue bit is just Bruno bumbling his words as usual.
Club even did an update on Raul, saying due to his knee injury in the summer he was struggling a little as he played catch up and was showing signs of struggling (as in the not so chronic fatigue), then felt a pain in his groin during the warm up
This is where I'm at apart from the fatigue part, he was dropped because we'd just spent 16m on a CF and he was really poor at Bournemouth.

Apologies for the source, Rauls dad saying he'll be back in a week or two.

I honestly don't know what to think about Rauls injury at the moment, no two people are saying the same thing it seems.

Daniela said he wasn't badly injured I think last time he was badly injured?

Reports from Mexico suggest that he has Pubalgia and could be out for weeks with his WC participation in the balance depending on speed/ease of recovery

Traditional surgery for pubalgia involves making a cut near the groin and fixing the damaged tissue. Recovery takes about 6 to 12 weeks. Another surgical procedure called laparoscopy is becoming a common way to both diagnose and treat groin injuries.

All seems quite straight forward - believe the conspiracy theorists with their lead lined tin hats and Bruno Lage is satan in disguise and has done some voodoo on Raul who now doesn't like Lage so is now refusing to play or...

He has a long standing, but relatively minor injury.

A lot of the problem here probably is that Raul might have been worried that an operation could have ruled him out of the World Cup , or would have made it a very tight call for the Mexico manager if Raul was not playing at all in August , September and October . Perhaps he therefore was reluctant to have the procedure and wished to play through it maybe ?

All guessing on my part clearly .

I still don't understand though why he joined up with the Mexico camp instead of rehabbing here . Could be anxious to reassure those lads maybe that all will be well in time for Qatar .

As I told you earlier in the week, if Mexico call him up then we can't just say no. They have the right to assess him themselves. If we say no then FIFA will ban him from playing for us.

It needn't be a conspiracy, but it's shit communication from Lage, as ever.

Raúl doesn’t need to have fallen out with Bruno for Bruno to be the Antichrist of football.

My point is with Raul himself . Why didn't he choose to stay here and get treatment ?
He surely has the right to choose to remain at the the club and get regular treatment which will hopefully speed up his recovery .
He is of little use to Mexico right now .

@MARKakaJIM

You know, being sad about my anti-Bruno posts isn't going to change my mind about him. I do admire your consistency, though (unlike Bruno's consistency at being shite).

How can you not understand what you've been told?

He can't.

Mexico asked him to travel. He says no then the following happens

1) Mexico complain to FIFA and they ban him for a game or 2
2) He pisses off his manager right before a World Cup
3) Mexico complain to FIFA and they ban him for a game or 2

Now I know I said 1 thing twice but its that important I felt it needed mentioning again (on top of what Deutsch said earlier)

Plus Daniela is back in Mexico promoting a film, so they’ll probably be some chance of catching up with their families.

That’s probably the root cause of the ‘injury’.
