He can't.

Mexico asked him to travel. He says no then the following happens

1) Mexico complain to FIFA and they ban him for a game or 2
2) He pisses off his manager right before a World Cup
3) Mexico complain to FIFA and they ban him for a game or 2

Now I know I said 1 thing twice but its that important I felt it needed mentioning again (on top of what Deutsch said earlier)
Are you para phrasing red dwarf there?

Thanks to Kenny and indeed Deutsch for fully outlining the position .

I had actually thought that a player himself ( as opposed to the club ) could tell his National coach that he didn't wish to travel on the basis that he wanted to return to fitness as quickly as possible and might feel that a long distance trip wouldn't help .
Clearly that does not appear to be the case .

I remember years ago when Wales were picking Ryan Giggs in their squad and he kept pulling out - there were suggestions that Ferguson was involved in trying to persuade Giggs to curtail his International appearances .
Alex Ferguson was never a fan of International football if memory serves me right .

As Kenny says , Raul is pretty anxious to keep the Mexico Manager happy with the World around the corner .

Almost made that joke myself but thought it better to wait :)

Obviously been reading social media to release this!

One thing that begs the question, if Raul has been suffering with groin issue for years, why are we only looking at it now?

We wouldn't just be looking at it now would we.

If they have known, it means he has been having treatments that worked on it as he hardly missed a game due to groin injuries. Now they aren't working.

On the injury update, they have been giving them quite regularly over the last few months and it was mentioned in the Press Conference that the medical team would be releasing an update to cover Raul & Hwang rather than Jeff read Twitter and panicked.

The history of Wolves managing these type of injuries tells me we'll piss around for a couple of months before the inevitable surgery

Surgery is always the last resort to any medical diagnosis.

It may well be all as you have thought, but i strikes me as odd that we've never heard of this injury before, and if it was years then surely there was a better time to deal with it, like when he was out for a year.

I can't remember regular updates on injuries being released previously under this management, itcertainly wasn't the case last season.

I would say that my comment was slightly tongue in cheek but it does look like a very well timed article to be released.

I'm not looking on conspiracy theories about fall outs, but I think this may well have been a planned release to back the manager up.

Whatever it is or isn't I do think Jiminez is pretty much done here, very sad to see.

Before this pre season we has been poor on injury updates but have started them this season.

Been a few updates since Chiquinho broke. Last one was after Sasa had his surgery. That covered Sasa, Raul and Chiquinho.

On Raul, as he hasn't missed games with the groin injuries until now, we wouldn't get updates on that anyway.

The Sasa one was to cover up Bruno's farcical comments 🤣
Actually on that one Bruno was giving the info he had. So if it was released to cover anything up it was the medical department not getting info to him in time.

At HT he was told he had a knock and it's nothing serious. 2nd half played out, did he press stuff at FT and gave the info he had.
He didn't know about seriousness of it until the medical team told him after the press stuff.

Sometimes look behind the noise for what happens. Way to easy right now to blame or call out people just because it fits how we feel.

The stuff on Sasa probably explains why yesterday when asked on injuries he was pretty vague on Raul and Hwang and said the medical dept will be releasing an update later.

I'm really not a fan when a manager reaches the end game with fans and situations and reasons are made up when they are not needed. Simply not being good enough for the job isn't good enough for some, so start to add in things as if it creates a better reason to bin them (not accusing you of this, just adding this bit in to avoid being accused of being a Bruno cheerleader)
