Fulham (A) Build up

lets face it if we can improve the def/gk & get a striker scoring we can be a force in this division

Costa driving into the box seems to be caught in two minds and then loses possession. Threatening the Fulham goal well.
Wolves negating the effect of MacDonald by stopping them from playing the ball out forcing Button to drop kick it out, which he now does, and.... it bounces out at our end for a Wolves goal kick.
Well that ploy seems to work then...

Wolves up to 17th with 1 game still in hand...
Nice to see Birmingham below us.

2' added on.Ball out from Ikeme to Cav to Evans who tries a 45 yard ball which hits Doherty on the chest and we lose that.

Sone Aluko fires in a left footed shot from the centre of the box but Ikeme drops down easily to save it in the bottom right corner.
Half time. 1-0.
Wolves 6 shots 3 on target, which is a bit better than previous games.

Having a genuine threat on both wings changes everything for us, it seems.

We've played OK. Through Cavaleiro we look very dangerous on the break and Costa did really well to make the goal.

We are great once we get the ball to the three behind Weimann - before that it's pretty 'functional'. Evans and Edwards not seen very much of the ball (pretty sure the latter has only made two passes in entire half).

We only look troubled when Batth gets sucked out. Space behind him and Coady we need to tighten up on. Fortunately Fulham haven't made most of it

Weimann with a great rush down the line whips it in but as I think Cav ran in a defender threw his head at it and headed it clear.
Costa whips in another red hot cross but that is lashed clear by a desperate defender...

We have a goalscoring forward! Weimann 2-0

Weimann gets that and pushes it onto his left foot and lashes a gorgeous curling shot shot past a flying button into the far bottom corner. Lovely stuff.

2-0 and "Wolves well worth it" says Dickie Davis on Sky
