Football Manager

I did the pro vercelli challenge on 2011. Got them into Serie A eventually and stayed up but winning it proved very challenging

With the amount of hours I put into it I figure it's well worth the £25/£30 I spend a year buying each new version. Every year I say I won't buy the new one but always do. Being able to press a button and download it doesn't help, I'm so weak!

PS - I have no idea how to put an image on here!

I was unable to defend my Premiership title, despite finishing on 97 points, an 11 point improvement on last season. United finished on a colossal 101 points, their squad is superb but ageing and I don't see Modric and Rooney continuing to perform in the way they currently are.

Fierro scored 40 in 43 games. My widemen were fantastic, Lucas Moura scoring 16 and assiting 18, Gerard Deulofeu scoring 15 and assisting 19 and Zeli scoring 9 and assisting 19.

I've got some absolutely brilliant young players, mainly from Brazil and Argentina. One of them, a 19 year old attacking midfielder scored 7 and assisted 16 in 19 appearances and won goal of the season. I've had to loan out some youngsters who I simply can't get into the team.

Try going right down into the non-leagues, which you can do where people have extended the database. I'm currently managing Wednesfield - transfer fees allowed: 0. Wages allowed: 0. No contracts, so players can move freely between teams as they choose.

So what is Zeli like on the new FM? Does he turn out a superstar?

Giving him Jarvo's number, sacrilege.

I gave Olofinjana number 82 before. See how you like them apples, you bender.

Jarvo is no longer with us, I'm sad to report. He was the top assister last season though for Burnley!

I always find it very sad when players you love in real life are shit on FM. For instance I kept Alex Rae at Wolves until he was 39 on FM2004. Didn't play a game for three years and wasn't interested in a coaching role. Still.

I am torn between staying with Grimsby, trying a Wednesfield/Willenhall game or trying to reprise my St Pauli UEFA Cup glory.

It was my forum settings mate, I don't have images preset to come up and it seems my link after was different. Anywhoo I can see it now, looks very different to what I'm used too. Looks crap but valued at over £8m?

You know I'm only joshing with you, gorgeous.

He isn't worth it based on those stats.

He's class, worth more than 8m.

By the way, it's de rigeur to leave open a browser window showing ladyboy porn when you're taking desktop screenshots.

Those stats look shocking Nando? Fast yes, but what else? Is that because of how FM12 shows its stats? I'm missing something as he has 15 England caps there so must be decent. I don't like the look of FM12 from that either.

His key stats for a winger are great. 15 and above for crossing, dribbling, passing, technique and flar and then he has bags of pace and his agility and balance are top notch.

He provided 19 assists last season!

Granted he's not Messi or Ronaldo, but he's a leading Premiership player.

I don't know whether there's a version for 2010 - I've got the "level 11" extension to FM2011 and the "level 14" extension to FM2012. The level 14 one is slighly buggy, but it seems to be fine if you just use it down to level 10 or 11.

EDIT: I lied. Sorry. The FM2010 extension down to Level 11 can be downloaded from here. The thread on the SI games forum is here. You'll need FM2010 patched to 10.3.

When starting a new game, it's recommended you tick 'Add key staff'. That way the players generated in the bottom tiers will be a mixture of ages, rather than all being 16 or so You should also make sure you run all available levels in your chosen file - i.e. if you only want to run to level 8, you MUST use the Level 8 file AND enable all leagues to level 8 when you start your new game.
------------------------------------------

Activation

1. Copy the file to the Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010\editor data folder in your My Documents folder.
2. Load FM2010
3. Select ‘Preferences’ and go to the ‘Display/Sound’ tab. UNTICK use skin cache. TICK ‘Always Reload Skin on Confirm’
4. When completed, leave preferences and ‘Start A New Game’
5. In the dialog window that pops up, TICK the change box.
6. Select the LATEST file in the list, if not already. Deselect ALL OLD VERSIONS!
7. Start a new game as normal, selecting the lowest level that you want to have active.

If you have any issues, make sure you've read the FAQ thread.
