I would say the Torino game felt a bit surreal. Sure, Crusaders and Pyunik were European ties but you knew we were going to win. This was a proper game. That was close to making my final cut.

Wish I'd been able to make that or Besiktas/Espanyol away but finances didn't allow for it at the time.

The Torino game was magical, just felt "different" in a way that is really difficult to articulate.

So over 49 years ago we were at the same match amongst a 40 odd thousand crowd !

wolves 3-2 newcastle, fa cup 2003. amazing match. murrays throw to newton. lescott and naylor superb. george ndah was immense! oh what could have been, but what a game.

wolves 3-2 many city 2019 - what an experience! what a comeback. we knew when the 2nd went in we were going to win the game. phenomenal, and I am still annoyed by the fact we weren't able to chat about the match afterwards.

wolves 2-0 villa 2017 - my first experience of Nuno's football. the atmosphere was palpably electric. the pub pre-match was bouncing. the walk to the stadium was a joyous experience, so much positivity everywhere. @machin05 couldn't bring himself to buy me half a lager, so got me some pale ale rocket fuel and it knocked me about, but in a good way! and we beat steve bruce and all his bullshit (hated villa that season!)

will have a think for others. survival sunday is kinda an option.

Five games out of the hundreds I’ve seen since 1967, you’ll have to give me a couple of days to think about this.

Having thought about it, here goes:

Albion 2 Wolves 3 1971 - Waggy master class
1980 League Cup Final - Better than 1974 on the basis that I was 20 rather than 14
Wolves 1 QPR 0 2009 - Clinched the Championship, the first "big" game where I was there with my dad and my two kids
Wolves 3 Brentford 0 2018 - Again all the family were there. It was this game that convinced me we were going to be as good as we were when I was a kid
Ipswich 2 Wolves 4 2003 - A local game for me, on the way to the play off final win. Lee Naylor screamer

Watched that in a pub in Carlisle on my way up to Scotland for work, the locals weren't best pleased to say the least, a rather sharp exit was made at final whistle....

Wolves 1 Forest 0, 1980. A great battling performance against the most successful team in England at the time. "Gary Newbon, you're a wanker". The quarter and semi final games against Middlesbrough and Swindon were outstanding too.
Wolves 4 Liverpool 1, 1981 Bragging rights against all the glory hunters at school and a great goal to cap it off by Emlyn Hughes.
Wolves 3 Sheffield United 0 2003. The PL dream finally achieved but could only enjoy it from about the 89th minute.
Wolves 3 Man City 2, 2019. Simply brilliant. Doherty's goal was a thing of beauty.
Wolves 2 Man Utd 1, 2005 Going behind and coming back to end their unbeaten run summed up Mick in terms of grit and effort.

Close but no cigar, Braga away. So many memories watching my team in Europe, which for decades seemed as likely as me shagging Kylie!

Wolves 2 Spurs 0, December 68, Dougan and Wignall scored two goals in a minute. It wasnt a classic but it was the first time i saw Wolves score, the memory of my Dad grabbing me and hugging me will remain forever.

Mk Dons v Wolves 0-1 20/03/14, the 10k2MK

Might seem a strange choice but:

Born in Stafford and dad used to take me to Molineux until we moved away in 1974 when I was ten. Lived all over the place and was difficult to follow the club from afar but Wolves were my team so that was it for life.

Some family members eventually settled near MK and became ST holders there (I know, I know. Trust me I had the conversation).

The sheer horror of the ‘performance’ in the 14/12/13 0-2 home defeat to those Franchise wankers is a low enough point to traumatise anyone, but having family and friends, plastics and deserters lording it over you with a faux joy while you wonder how your club has come to this, is really, really tough thing to take.

So whilst there are numerous other matches that are seemingly more worthy, it’s difficult to explain the emotion when McAlinden glanced in that header. A proper football club with a proper following putting those shysters right in their place, made all the more special by having my own loyal Wolves son going crazy beside me. A wondrous moment that exorcised some demons. Makes you think why you put yourself through it sometimes but I guess football is just about emotions after all.

1989 Shit 1 Wolves 2 (Bully last minute)
2021 Villa 2 Wolves 3 (Last weeks mental)
2003 Reading 0 Wolves 1 (Alex Rae taking us to Cardiff, what a mental that was)
1988 Wolves 2 Burnley 0 (Fresh faced kid cried when we won, Ive seen with my own eyes Wolves win a trophy, it was immense)

There are so many especially under Nuno but those above havent been matched for any kind of apeshit Ive had.

If its games attended then I would pick:

• Vs Blackburn 2011 (2-3) - survival Sunday. The contrast in emotions from being 3 nil down at halftime to the at full time and being safe
• Vs QPR 2009 (1-0) - we booked the tickets about 6 weeks in advance and as luck would have it, a win would guarantee promotion. The game itself was quite dull but the scenes at full time were bedlam. We were sat in the Steve Bull lower and had no choice but to go on the pitch as thousand of people were rushing over the seats to get on. A great memory with my Dad
• Vs Cardiff 2019 - (2-0) - during that period where Jota and Raul were playing in a two up front and at the peak of their powers. We were sat in the North Bank, about halfway up and had incredible sight lines for both goals. We also had the Portugeezers over from Lisbon for that game too. I felt like we were a team with huge potential and it was that period where everything was going right at the club. The Jots goal that day won Goal of the Season as I recall.
• Vs Stoke 2011 (1-2) - despite the loss, it was my first time in a corporate box and we had a three course meal beforehand which was nice, drinks delivered, free matchday program and got to meet some ex players. Just a great day courtesy of Penk

I post much less frequently than I used to, feels like the Forum isnt the same fun place for banter than it used to be.
The hyperbole is staggering too. Just look at the Leeds verdict thread!
People saying we were awful, rancid, shit etc. etc.
I remember some of the games under Jackett and Saunders and they were proper shit. There's a huge sense of entitlement amongst some posters on here that I find offputting these days.

Maybe Kenny and Langers feel the same?
