Euro 2020

TAA might be having the summer off now.

Austria miss an absolute sitter to equalise, completely free header.

I thought that TAA was poor throughout but for his sake I hope the injury isn’t serious. Bellingham, until he was suffering from cramp and Grealish the only plus points for me tonight.

Positives: Grealish, Bellingham, Rice, Kane, Saka
Negatives: TAA, Mings

Did ok throughout but lost his man in the last minute that could have led to an equaliser. He seemed way behind the play as they broke for an unknown reason.
Think he was still trying to get a reason off the ref for TAA's booking

Just seen the Wales red card against France. Harsh is an understatement.

As discussed on the Football Thread today. The slo mo decision without real time context, coupled with the arm in an unnatural position. VAR gold

How did Coady play?
He allowed himself to get completely distracted by a discussion with the referee over the TAA yellow card . That appeared to be on his mind as he was working his way back to the play and ended up in no man's land for an Austria cross which they nearly scored from .

Prior to that he was solid enough , but in fairness wasn't really threatened overly by Austria . Nice to see him being captain for a while .

That's fair bad .

I think in his last England game (San Marino?) he kicked a man up in the air on the half way line for no reason. Almost every time I see him play there is an episode where he could get red carded for dangerous play.

Also a lovely moment where he just stopped playing as he was expecting a decision. The kind of thing my U13 girls know not to do.

Few things.

Dont understand the Coady should be no where near the squad when actually he is a excellent player and organiser I disagree he cannot play in a 4, he has done it and done it well for England.

This England team on paper is probably the best squad since 1970, we have so many excellent players, Foden, Grealish, Mount, Kane etc, has to be on of the best attacking squads we are lacking defensively, if and its a big if Henderson can reproduce his Liverpool form that shold be enough, i still need convincing about Rice.

Mings is just not good enough that forearm smash will get you sent off in the finals.
Dont rate Maguire, or Stones (Coady is far superior to Stones).
If only Diaz was English or we could find a Diaz, to partner Coady.

I am not fussed about the Friendlies, rather see him use the match times to get players back up to speed, some of the players have not played for 2 weeks.

I am doing video previews of the Euro's for Real Fans no Filter all the way through so quite looking forward to that.

In spells last night looked ok going forward, our 2 main chances would have been ruled out in the finals for Offside.

With 26 players going I dont have a problem with 4 Right Backs when you consider they all play in other positions.

Plus the fact only 15 or 16 ever get used in the tournament.
I would like to see us with 4 at the back, a sitting midfielder, and 5 attacking players,
Kane, Foden, Grealish, Mount, and 1 of Rashford or Sancho, probably Sancho as he prefers the Right.

Give the opposition something to worry about

Stones has had a great season.

The only thing that's putting me off is that someone mentioned to me that he looks like Kate out of Line Of Duty and I can't unsee it now. Mother of God.

What is Line of Duty?
