Euro 2020

I think this is one of the most balanced England squads we've had for a long time.

I don't think we have any real weaknesses, we may not be world class in some areas but we're decent all over the pitch

Best chance we’ll ever have now, Wednesday will be really tough.

It's only the Danish story which worries me. I don't believe in karma or fate, but after '92 it's just a nagging issue

Player for player England are the better side but it’s just never that simple.

The Denmark game will be the first one I’ll get nervous about. I’ve been surprisingly relaxed about all the matches so far.

Southgate almost seems a bit emotional in his interview.

I've given him pelters for most of his tenure but credit where its due, he's barely put a foot wrong especially in the last two games.

Can't see the Denmark game being a problem. Better player for player and England's record is very very good at Wembley.

I have been to a lot of England games.
Speaking to Friends the supporrers that attend the games absolutely love him

I'd agree with this, Denmark have ridden a wave of emotion so far, but England are a far superior team. We'll win and win comfortably. If Italy beat Spain, and I hope they do, they will be the only real test England have had all tournament. We've had the easiest ride imaginable, not a decent team played yet.

It's funny, they're a not a decent team when we beat them, but they're decent when we lose to them.

Always the fucking same bullshit.
England never play anyone decent.

Our group had the World Cup Finalists.
Our last 16 game had the team that pumped Portugal 4-2, and a team that always turns up at finals.

France lost to Switzerland, every team is good.

We have played really well, not conceded, look at our Bench

You can only beat what's in front of you but that end of Jogi era Germany are nowhere near the levels of other tournaments. Excellent performance last night but against a Ukraine that had evidently run out of steam. Before Sir Gareth is canonized let's at least achieve something tangible. Trip up against the Danish and we will have the same accusations of being flat track bullies as before. Get to the final would finally be a step forward and then see what happens.

Returning to Germany though, the signs are that GS has the squad looking like a turniermannschaft. Fingers crossed.

Then again we played them in the Nations League twice at the end of last year and drew and lost 0-0 and 0-1.

They're glorified friendlies of course but everyone took the format a bit more seriously that regular friendlies.

Was the defeat when Maguire got sent off?

Walker and Pickford both had dodgy moments of we're being hyper critical
It was the right time for them to have them when we are in a game that was so comfortable. Denmark 🇩🇰 are a very good team and circumstance cost them the first game. They are the surprise team if the tournament by a distance. England won’t have a better chance of not only reaching a final , but winning a tournament. Southgate pragmatism is working for that squad at the right time.

As a slight aside , the standard of games has been really good. The refereeing has been good and the goals have included some real crackers. The only thing that has been disappointing has been the ITV coverage and the intolerable smugness of saint Lineker on the bbc.

For those saying Denmark will be a push around have to look at yourselves, they have played some brilliant football and England has not been tested yet..Im thinking 1-1 or 2-2 and overtime to decide the game..England has the better players all around but it wont be an easy game for sure

They are a decent side, I thought they were brilliant for large periods against Belgium in the group but ran out of a steam with the intensity they played at. Thought they were slightly fortunate yesterday in some aspects but it will be a tougher game than Ukraine for sure. I'd back England with the home advantage and way Southgate sets up against different teams, he will have a plan
