Euro 2016 watch

Shaw is a fantastic player but jesus it would be risky with him still only in training - it was a horrendous injury.

Surely he can't pick Shaw or Henderson after his previous statement about only picking players who are fully match fit?

Is that a definite? Not seen a story yet but guessed he would be struggling.

Vardy, Kane, Rooney, Sturridge, AN Other then? Carroll or Defoe maybe?

I think Defoe would be worth a shout, bit of an outside call but I think he'd be worth a gamble for 20 minutes if we're chasing a game.

To be honest I'm not mad keen on Sturridge or Welbeck.

I can't see the need for a fifth striker. Roy will probably pick another wideman and that brings Walcott or Townsend back into the fold.

I'd take an extra forward option over Jagielka. Walcott has been shite all season but I'd still prefer him over Townsend.

I wonder if we'll see a shift to a diamond with Welbeck out?

------Dier-------
Milner Wilshere
------Alli--------

--Vardy Kane--

If we did play a diamond then I guarantee you Rooney would be at #10 and Alli would play deeper (instead of Milner probably).

Hart, Forster, Heaton

Clyne, Walker, Smalling, Stones, Cahill, Bertrand, Rose

Dier, Drinkwater, Wilshere, Milner, Alli, Barkley, Lallana, Sterling

Kane, Vardy, Rooney, Sturridge, ???

That's my squad (assuming the Welbeck rumors are correct), with the remaining space a toss up between Jagielka if Roy is going cautious or Henderson if he can prove his fitness in time. If Hendo is fit, I'd take him over Jagielka as Dier can provide cover at CB and I'd rather have midfield cover given we're not overly strong there.

Squad announcement delayed until Monday. Welbz is definitely going to miss out, he's going to be out for months.

bad for england, welbz was on fire

Pointless taking Carroll, it was the same with Crouch, both fine when playing their football in this Country but every time they try and win a header, with Refs from the continent it's gonna be a foul.

Would definitely take Defoe over Carroll. Probably over Rooney as well.

Bad news for Joe Ledley, good news for our Dave?

Wales midfielder Joe Ledley is set to miss the 2016 European Championship after his club Crystal Palace confirm he has broken his leg.

The injury also denies Ledley an appearance in the FA Cup final when the Eagles take on Manchester United at Wembley on 21 May.

Sounds like it's Lingard or Townsend to replace Welbeck.

Lets hope not, they're both rank.

Lingard looks to have come on leaps and bounds with some regular football at United, wouldn't have had him down to make the squad personally but might be a decent wildcard option and can at least offer the same sort of versatility as Welbeck.

Lingard is mince. Can't finish, can't pass and isn't somebody who can beat a man.

Astonishing that he's become a regular at United. Shows how far their standards have fallen.
