Euro 2016 watch

He had another good game tonight. I thought Carrick was outshone by Noble tonight, his legs have simply gone. I like Lingaard a lot and thought Smalling had another good game.

I never thought much of Lingard until recently, he's looked pretty useful with his recent run in the side though, one of those that might be a bit difficult to nail down where his strongest position is but he seems to have a good understanding of what's going on around him and how to get himself into good spaces.

Finishing lets Lingard down a bit at the moment, he should easily be on a dozen goals at least by now. That might come though.

Wouldn't consider him for this tournament but he's definitely more worthy than the likes of Dross Townsend.

I wouldn't be considering him for the squad.

Just that I'd built up an impression of him being of these kids that people rave about just because of the academy he came through despite never really showing anything in any senior appearances, does now look to have something about him though, whether or not he'll have a long term future at United is to be seen but he looks to have enough about him for a reasonable career.

Ah, I get you. Isaac Cuenca Syndrome.

Wouldn't take Carroll. Real one trick pony and strikers like that usually get pulled up (wrongly mostly) for fouls in tournaments every time they win a header. If I was going to take a wild card it would be Rashford.

Claudio Marchisio ruled out, ACL.

Great news, thrilled about that.

Confirmed Ox won't make it, no surprise there.

As good as Shaw is, I'm going to be asking serious questions if he's taken having played no football for the best part of nine months.

I can live with Wilshere as we're not particularly well stocked in central midfield and he's at least fit enough to play now.

If you throw Henderson in there too, which I think he will with Welbeck seemingly out you've got three players who've barely featured, if at all, in the past couple of months.

That's a big risk.

I think Wilshere will go. He had a good game on Sunday at City, Roy loves him, he'd get in our strongest team when available and if that genuinely were the list then he's pushing out Delph who is a) nowhere near as good and b) has had a shit season.

Harsh on Rose I suppose if he's not going and Shaw is, but again in terms of ability I don't even think it's close, Shaw is a far better footballer and defender. It's just how fit he actually is.

Oh - the actual squad being listed is extremely believable. However, the idea that "someone at the FA could accidentally tweet it early" is ridiculous beyond farce.

Yeah 100% agree. I'd posted that before I saw what you posted. The only thing I'd query is Luke Shaw
