Euro 2016 watch

Never wish injury on a player but Roy would definitely have taken him despite him being poor all season and low on quality generally, we haven't lost out on anything.

Not just Drinkwater it opens up for, even more scope for Wilshere to go now. Delph and Shelvey can fuck off.

Any idea when Wilshere will be fit to play again? Shaw and Wilshere are running out of time to be considered.

Wilshere is supposedly playing a reserve/U21 game for Arsenal soon, today/tomorrow perhaps.

Yes it's tonight. I think he'll go even if he only gets a few sub appearances before the end of the season assuming he's fit. I had Drinkwater missing out so hopefully this will bring him in. Delph I could live with as he's been OK when selected, I'd have Carlton Palmer over Shelvey

Wilshere is one of our best players when fit, it's just getting him on the pitch (and not acting like a charver off it).

Personally i would put wilshere in the sturridge category..big risk, could be big gain..milner/dier in the middle and walcott going

A bit dull game with a lot of sideway/back passing..
I would play these at the euros:

------------------Hart-------------------
Walker----Stones----Smalling----Bertrand
------------Dier----Alli----Barkley-------
-------Vardy------Kane-------Welbeck

But as said before..this would be my starters

He is a solid performer and never give up..also can take pens and work things out, workrate is 50% more than edwards..enough said mark;)

In what sense? He tries hard but he's often lacking in quality and thought, his performance against Netherlands was the perfect example.

You cant just rely on technical players on that level

Who would be the Spanish or German equivalent of Milner then?

You cant just rely on technical players on that level

Thought is the big difference at the top level, Milner is severely lacking in that respect.

If he were to play in midfield alongside Dier there'd be no control of the game, no-one to set the tempo and start attacks off, you have the same problem with Henderson in there but at least he's a bit tidier with the ball than Milner. A fit Wilshere is the prime candidate there, Drinkwater maybe although he probably errs a bit more on the defensive side for the most part, in the future you'd be hoping for Barkley and/or Alli maturing and having the discipline to be able to play the deeper role if needed but at the moment I think they're both still a bit too unpredictable.
