Euro 2016 watch

Rooney will be in the squad. Of course he will. However, I am rather less certain he will be in the starting line-up.

Not on current form he doesn't. Vardy and Kane are miles ahead of him as front-men and have been for months. Maybe Rooney could be at the point of a diamond behind them?

Alli is a far better option there as well.

If we only have one central striker he's 3rd choice for me. No point plating him anywhere else as Nando says because he's shite deep or wide.

Instead of Alli, that would be criminal. I think he should go, he shouldn't start though, but probably will. I think we'll play 433 and he'll get one of the wide slots

He's clearly got an outstanding international goal record and is likely to be the leading scorer for some time.

I don't think I'm giving him a raw deal in saying he's no longer the player he used to be.I don't see how anybody can argue he's anywhere near his best.

This is his 14th season in which he's featured largely in 30+ games a season. It's quite natural for a decline to set in and he needs to learn to adapt his game to suit. The very best are able to do so, Wayne hasn't shown that yet.

I'd put him 'at the tip' as well. Alli is much more versatile and won't be as much of a 'shoehorn' to put him elsewhere in a diamond.

Rooney behind two forwards against a decent side would be asking for trouble. In the group stages you light get away with it but I wouldn't bother then either.

The Doherty dream is over?

will be tough to face them..lots of attacking power..just hoping Vermaelen will play against us ;)

as a matter of fact i think they will win the euros this year

I dunno, the talent is there but Wilmots doesn't come across as a very good manager to me. Last I saw he was still using Vertonghen and Alderweireld as full backs, they were pretty disappointing in the World Cup and weren't very good against Wales in either game in the qualifiers.

Wilmots is an awful manager and the example you have given is justt one of the reasons why. I don't see Belgium winning the Euro's.
