Espanyol (H) 4-0 to the wan-der-ers VERDICT THREAD

Full force to the boys for another gritty and professional display. This tournament is so ridiculously drawn out it's untrue so let's hope they get a real test next time out which I think they will come out of with flying colours. It's all a bit like England's farcical march to the WC Semis.

I think that's harsh. Espanol, Braga, Bratislava all have a better European attendance record than us in the last forty years, by some distance. We didn't beat Braga either and Rangers just did! I would love a game against man united or Rangers should we all progress. I would love to meet Braga in the final should they get through!

As regards half and half scarves I only have one from the euro tie I attended earlier in the season as it was such a momentous occasion and I didn't know if there would be many more opportunities .

The worst half and half I have ever seen worn at avmatch was a man city fan wearing a city/united half and half. I have never seen a Rangers/ Celtic or Liverpool Everton half and half. They must exist but surely never see the light on a match day?

Half and half scarves, can't see the point, buy a programme instead if you must take something home from a match. I can understand why some little kids would want a half and half, but to see grown men wearing them looks saft.

There's only one football scarf that I'd ever wear, and it's got Wolverhampton Wanderers, running from one end to the other.

Half and half scarves are the quickest way to spot a plastic in the home end.

Not sure on the memento angle, not for me anyway. Going to have a big fat scarf sitting in a draw which you can’t ever use. If you’re desperate for a memento then use your match ticket which is small and free?

Don’t get match tickets these days..

Personally I'd probably only get a momento if we were at a final, was very tempted at FA cup semi but changed my mind....decided we would have the chance of a big one sooner rather than later........optimist that I am

I saw a Chinese lad on Thursday night approaching the subway wearing one - I felt it was a sign of how far we'd come!

Only time I ever bought one was November 2007 in Glasgow when going to watch Scotland vs Italy in a European Championship Qualifier

Getting all worked up about half and half scarves comes off as incredibly gate keep-y to me.

Let people commemorate things the way they want to. Not our place to judge.

Nah. It’s wanky, happy to keep the gate up if it means we keep football.

Who are you to judge us being judgey? Double standards.

There's no wrong way to be a fan. Dickish ways, sure, but half and half scarves don't hurt anyone.

Half and half scarves aren’t being a fan of a football team though, they are a memento of a ‘nice trip’.

I didn't realize those two things were mutually exclusive.

They are a message that you don't really care who wins the game and are happy to watch both teams. They're cringe worthy.

Maybe it's different in the US where it's as much about the pageantry as the game.

If a sign of our success is a load of new fans turning up to games wearing half and half scarves then I hope we see fucking loads of them because it probably means we're successful and winning things. That to me seems the most important thing rather than being precious about 'plastic' fans.

I'm not a fan of the half and half, it is almost exclusively worn by literal tourists. You see people online who claim it commemorates the two teams they support playing each other, sickening. I normally just get a programme. Useful for seeing who is who on the other team!

By and large it's not Wolves fans who buy them, its plastic Big 6 ones buying tickets in the home end for Cup games and trying to fit in
