I saw a couple of Chinese lads wearing the half and half scarves in the concourse. I didn't see what kind of quality they were though as I was too busy tutting and rolling my eyes to notice.

Jeff and Guo?

what's the deal with half/half scarves? seems to be a divisive issue. not sure I 'get it'.

It's touristy and more than a little wanky. You don't go to support both teams.

I always saw it more as a mark of the occasion, like a commemorative item from the match. not some sort of implicit cheer for both sides. is that what people buy them for?

Yes - which in itself makes it look a bit touristy to the average British fan

I mean not gonna lie, if I went to a europa match I'd prob be interested in one. :icon_lol:

I've got a few scarves hanging on my desk currently, would be cool to have one from a semi final or something.

don't really give a shit if people think it would look touristy-- I'm a fuckin tourist. I probably wouldn't wear it during the game or anything though.

Who could resist this bit of class?

Yeah, you would - think how much kudos you'd get for having a half & half Wolves/Chorley scarf...

Saw someone with half and halves for Torino, and the wolves badge wasn’t even correct. I found this odd and even more odd that people were buying a badge which was literally a plain orange football shirt in a hexagon. But now it makes sense as by not using the wolves badge it isn’t copyright...

I have a pal, who pays for his stall outside OT.
His half and Halfs do not have the correct badge for the same reason

Programme

They were massive by the look of it last night. A4 I think.

With regard to half and half - we are as a rule very tribal in football and that applies to most supporters of every club. To sum it up, we go to watch Wolves, not the opponent, so buying a scarf celebrating the day we got to play say Liverpool or United would be vomit-inducing.

Could have been, they were small enough.

If you want a memento then buy a program like I did.

programs are lame. I have a stack of them sitting in a closet somewhere from various events attended over the years. I'd as soon just not buy anything.

I'm guessing there would be scarves with say, "wolves europa final" or some such, would be equally fine.

I know for example with super bowl merchandise, there's a lot with both teams (super bowl 71340 with the team helmets, etc.), but also plenty of gear with a simple 'NFC/AFC Champion X", etc..

Wouldn't be that impressive, there were half a million people at that match, apparently

The scarf you wear celebrates the club you support. It's a declaration of love. I've only bought one half n half in my life and that was Wolves vs Torino and that was because: A, I was so proud of the fact that Wolves were involved in such an occasion and B, I didn't know if it would ever happen again in my lifetime.

I have bought one scarf in my whole life - a Grimsby Town scarf as a kid. Over 50 years later my wife has thrown it out (it looked its age). I want to kill her.

so, exactly the reasons i was stating then. I'm on board, I'll take a dozen.

:D

Full force to the boys for another gritty and professional display. This tournament is so ridiculously drawn out it's untrue so let's hope they get a real test next time out which I think they will come out of with flying colours. It's all a bit like England's farcical march to the WC Semis.

We tried to stop Warrington RL team using Wolves

I can only imagine that the Super League had a vindictive streak when they set up Toronto Wolfpack a few years ago then!

I actually wanted a half and half scarf for the kids and as a memento mainly, bit frustrated we couldnt get one (or even a pin badge) I understand the whole die hard fan outlook but then I like mementos from memorable games
