Terrible match really, two very poor teams. We shouldn't have lost but that applies to another half a dozen games this season.

The red card is a shocking decision. There was virtually no gap between the whistle being blown and him kicking it away. Also that is a red card on the penalty, like fuck is he trying to play the ball and it's almost certainly a goal if he doesn't get hacked down. How are those two incidents dealt with in that way, have a word.

Terrible penalty from Tolu who is becoming a worry.

Hurry up and end this season please.

It's very much a bottom of the league performance and result. Both teams ars awful but we're last for a reason and we had the full mix of injury time goal, some bad decisions, and terrible finishing.

Arokodare is rubbish, he's a bad Championship level striker. Even next year he is going to be an issue for us. Carthorse.

All true

Why is this pissing me off so much when the season is dead and buried?

No way should we have lost. We actually played well first half and if we score then we probably win. Sadly we let the carthorse take the pen.

Second half comfortable again but then a silly red card and we’ve up against it. The first yellow was harsh but once you’ve got one use your head! I think that rule is stupid anyway as it’s so loosely applied, but don’t give the ref a decision to make. Sadly booting the ball up the pitch after the whistle is going to get you one even if you haven’t “delayed the restart” or whatever.

It’s not comparable to Hughes, because if I’m being generous he makes two borderline yellow challenges, the first was harsh for me too. So I don’t think any ref (or any fan!?) should think those two challenges should equal a red. Common sense prevailed.

Thought AA, JRB and Andre were good. Defence solid. Don’t think anyone was bad, Tolu is what he is - a big lump who helps us get the ball forward but he’s not actually gonna do much with it when it’s there.

1 win Rob strikes again, it’s another one of those games we win in the previous 7 seasons. I don’t think the red card is as terrible as some are calling it just don’t do it.
Look terrible sides are terrible because they find ways to lose when they shouldn’t. We all knew how it would turn out the moment we went in at HT at 0-0.
Has to be the most wasteful attacking display I’ve ever seen by 1 player in Tolu.
If he’s missed his last 5 penalties why on earth is he being allowed to try again?
This is a very poor palace side who could very well be in as bad a position as were next season. I think that was one of our last opportunities to win a game this season.

If we started next season with a completely new squad (and manager) I’d be happy. If I had to keep two it would probably be the two Buenos which says a lot about the rest.

Palace first home win since 1st November, of course it is.
It’s annoying because we just find new ways of being rubbish, it’s annoying because we could’ve finally ended the Derby points total talk and started to look towards next season.
If RE can’t get us to 20 points when he’s had 27 games just to pick up 18 he should be waved out the door.
Has he improved us ? Yeah a bit. Is it enough? Absolutely not.
If you want us to be a vanilla championship club like Watford or Bristol city keep RE because he’ll be fine with doing that.
As a PL manager he’s been in charge 55 games and picked up 34 points.

Edwards should be going - 1 win in 17 is way way past the point even taking into account the hand he was dealt. Id be surprised if many managers have ever survived runs like that. We aren't a serious club so I reckon he could lose 8 of the last 10 and he wouldn't be sacked. Fucking depressing.

We have a recent record of keeping managers well beyond what we should, we even chuck new contracts at them.

The club have written off this season and Rob seemingly is in charge but results dont count until after August.

Amazing to think that things are likely to get worse until then.

I agree, id just rather skip the part where we have to wait until November when we're 15th in the Championship.

To me he’s had an easy job. He could have come in and had a real go and got us past 11 points. Instead he’s trying to creep us there by being completely negative and limping past it. His Middlesbrough were completely dour and unimaginative and that’s the best we can look forward to next season. Sack him off.

That is the worst Palace team I've seen in quite a few years.
Echo what others have said regarding being so pissed off with this game/result, especially as I sat down to watch it with zero expectations. Us football fans are a weird lot.

Don't think we were negative today, just shit again. Agree with your last sentence.

Turning a blind eye to how this season ends is foolish and nieve, it’s basically your canary in coal mine and the canary died about 2 weeks ago.
Shi 2.0 isn't going to make any big decisions.
Jackson was part of drive to hire Rob and pay stupid amounts for him.

Foolish and nieve are the only areas we work in.

Why do we try to defend almost from the first whistle. We should take the game to the opposition especially with CP’s poor form but instead we allow them to play with confidence and we know eventually the goal will come. If this is his vision of playing in the Championship then woe betide us cos most teams will be at our throats from the start.
