Schools have got to be closed unfortunately. It’s an utter disgrace that’s it been left to get like this again - there will be a whole generation of underprivileged children lost because of this. Utterly shameful - can only be glad that I did fucking not vote for them.

That a typo in your final sentence?

I may have been being ironic. That’s what the fat fuck said. As the new variant is spreading through younger age groups quickly, sticking them all in rooms together seems a fantastic idea.
But teachers can open windows so it's fine.

This will be full school university closure and nobody bar key workers outside furlough within a fortnight unless you can work from home. As I am in the construction supply chain I guess I will still be in but we need the roads and pavements like they were in the first week of April frankly.

Even that won’t work I think - compliance is gone. People look for the loopholes rather than look to see how to comply as in April.

Yep, principally because a) the Government lost control of the messaging long, long ago - this is their own fault, not the public's and b) for anyone not high risk/old, there is no longer a fear factor (of course they don't care whether they spread it to someone who might be in serious danger).

Yep - stems from Cummings and Johnson senior etc getting away with it. Going to be an awful lot of people paying the price over the next 3 - 4 months.

Looks like Wolvo council has taken matters into their own hands and closed all the schools. Supporting the schools that choose to close anyway.

I don't think they've closed the schools. Last I read they have asked the DfE to be treated the same as London/SE as our infection rates are the same. DfE said no, so Wolvo asked again and are waiting for a response. In the meantime they have said they will support any school that is forced to closed due to staffing issues. I think most schools have a staff inset tomorrow anyway so theres plenty of time 😉

I'm getting deja vu back to March and October 2020.

BoJo is a liability.

Few Wolverhampton schools closed tomorrow by the looks of it - no surprise. Boris u-turn by the end of the week, the Department for Education can't fine every school.

"The PM said the government "will do everything we can to keep the virus under control","

Doing a marvelous job at that pal, keep it up

Watched Charlie Bookers wipe last night, crazy looking back at how it all unfolded
