Unless that supporter is consciencentious and refuses to travel then you're still having the opportunity for somebody to bring the virus in with them unless clubs announce they're excluding supporter postcodes from T3 areas from ticket ballots.

Just checked & case numbers here last week per 100,000 were down to 69! which is a 30% drop from the previous week which in themself were well below to UK national average anyway - why tier 2 is slightly unfathomable.

That's crazy, they should publish the methodology behind the selctions - otherwise we'll have to assume its decided on who is able to whatsapp Johnson or Hancock.

Good point, might be why Wolves were reminding people to update their info the other day though (not saying all clubs will do it). If chosen in a ballot but in a tier 3 area they might not even offer the ticket?

Definitely need to publish the methodology behind it seems rather convenient that London (the whole of it too) has scrapped into tier 2 where most other cities tier 3.

Seems the areas are far bigger with lots of different councils banded together that weren't previously too.

Had to do that earlier this month, cancelled his tubing trip with his mates. He was obviously gutted but he knew why (impressive for a 6 yr old I thought), reading this thread his attitude to the virus and lockdown is a whole lot better than some on here.

I'd rather we were back to everybody in the same boat until we roll the vaccine's out for the vulnerable and mass testing a la Liverpool. But this daft tier system helps nobody.

Would you feel like that if you ran a business that was closed down for Covid in an area that had very low rates though?

No the tiered/split approach has got to be the right one, might be shit for us stuck in areas where the rate of infections still high but why shouldn't they look to be getting parts of the economy where its safer to do so going.

Just wish they'd be a bit clearer and more logical on how they manage it.

I'd disagree with tiers being nonsense. Cases vary by region so it makes sense to tackle cases by region.

Why impose restrictions on Liverpool if London is spiking, it wouldn't achieve anything.

Track and trace has been a shambles, even if it was effective it does have a capacity limit.

Any road, all sources of data suggest we're moving in the right direction. If we can keep that up then we'll be ok. The next milestone is the vaccine authorisation and on that date we should all be very happy
