Numbers even in those areas are heading up quickly - even in a rural part of N Dorset we are up to 109 now (a big increase over the last 10 days). The whole of the country, apart from the south east and west will be tier 3 before long. Won’t be long and they’ll have us in workhouses.
Spain has a pretty much identical case rate as here.Apparently France and Spain have lost control of it
universities will not be shutting. they're planning to continue bi modal teaching being available.I would say control has been lost here too. The only way to get this back is going to be another proper lockdown. Shut the non-essential shops, shut the pubs, shut the schools, shut the universities, tell people to only work from home. Furlough reopened.
Not gonna make a dent if you steer clear of schools and universities.universities will not be shutting. they're planning to continue bi modal teaching being available.
practically though, there is no reason why they cannot move to 100% online teaching for the majority of all courses.
Schools are another issue however, and to be honest, I can see why we would want to avoid further disruption to childrens education.
