Coronavirus

If schools stay open, then it isn't a lockdown! And even to a complete outsider, it looks pretty damn obvious what is driving the increase.

Schools are not driving the increase in infections (that’s still 20-29 ages), they probably are driving the increase on testing though.

Anyway, the mooted lockdown is being timed to coincide with half term so schools will be closed for an additional week.

As other people here have said, can't visit relatives/friends but can go for a meal or down the pub, or they must be in your bubble, I take 6 kids to school, that's 6 different houses in 6 parts of Wolverhampton, plus I have a bus escort who lives in another area of town, the school has kids coming in from Bridgnorth, Stafford and for some reason Coventry, my workplace has people from Wolverhampton, willenhall, Wednesbury, Oldbury, Smethwick, Quinton and Small Heath how can all of that be ok, but I can't visit my mate up the road?
I'm thinking a lot of people will be going fuck it and carrying on doing what they want.

17 to 34 being well know for school going.

It’s wales, but I’d imagine it’s similar across UK.

I should probably bang ‘fucking’ into the post to make the point though.

My bad, newer data here

So it's fucking women that are the problem then (no idea why I had to add fucking, but apparently it's required).

There’s definitely more female teachers than male..

Not messing here, if I have to lock myself away for a while then I don't know how that's going to go. It didn't go well last time.

Get a support bubble, but do what you need to do to keep well.

Not sure this proves anything. Just shows that people of working age and likely to have kids in school have more positive tests than older, retired and more likely vulnerable people (so locking themselves away). Kids are most likely to be assymptomatic (I think), and therefore less likely to have a test, and you’re just less likely to test a young child anyway. Number tested is really required to get more depth to the data to draw better conclusions.

Keep well mate . . . I know it's not easy . . . I'm starting to go a bit pear-shaped myself in our hell for a considerable time.

228 outbreaks in care homes last week. Fucked it up again.

Locally, my area is behind the national average, sorry to hear a lot of you guys are facing increased restrictions, but I'm upgrading my concern of another national lockdown to amber. I work in "hospitality", and I'm not expecting any handout this time, so glad I've started my "tinfoil hat" brexit food stockpile early and have holiday allocation unused.

Sober stuff - gone up everywhere, estimated 70k with covid

Think they are very much laying the foundations for another lock down, maybe shorter periods but more regular in an attempt to halt it getting out of control.

Who knows, I can't see a way out of this until next spring when hopefully we have a vaccine programme to roll out

Yes I think that was what they were saying. Next 6 months is going to be crap.
