Coronavirus

The prices are why they still have stuff though - shelves are refilling elsewhere as most other places restrict numbers in the shop at any one time so they will be left with it unless they cut the price to normal levels.

Fair amount of their items marked with sold out. A lot places getting shit for doing this with their prices, I know retail works on supply and demand but this is not the time to be playing games with people. A lot of companies out there who are showing their true colours.

All that aside, until 10 mins ago I didn't realise Budgens still existed!

Must admit I thought they had gone completely. Perhaps there might still be a Kwik Save somewhere???

So, Donnie Trump currently giving himself a huge pat on the back...this time because the viewing figures for this briefings are A RATINGS HIT.

Always used to buy most of our vegetables from farm shops etc buy our potatoes in sacks, when the shopping rampage kicked off the price of a sack went up £2.50 overnight at the shop in Great Haywood

It’s not real Kwik-Save though, that went hard bump in late 2000s

Why would you do a fake Kwik-Save!

I’ve googled it now, the new Kwik Save are just differently branded Costcutter. I guess costcutter is such a shit brand even kwik save seems better?

I was pretty sure Kwik Save had properly hit the toilet bowl!

In other news, the President of Belarus is actually out-cunting the uber-cunt in the White House, for which there should probably be a prize if it wasn't so fatally terrifying.

All citizens of Belarus should go to ice hockey matches as cold kills the virus so effectively that he cannot see it in the air in the stadium. Fucking imbecile.

Some mildly positive news over here: an increase of 8.5% in cases today, where there had been expectations of 30% and it was projected that there would have been upto 15,000 cases by the end of this month whereas there is around 2,500

Saw that, to be fair last few days has been slightly positive the rise in new cases has been around 15 to 20%, hopefully can keep it going for April, saw that they are expecting the peak here 10 to 14th April

Somerfield bought Kwik Save which sent both of them to the wall.

Wood end road Wednesfield,there's a kwik save,same spelling,not the old supermarket,but pedantically it's a kwik save

From twitter.
Wuhan residents estimate, based on calculations of cremations and urns now being returned to families, that between 42k-46k (!!) died in city + surrounding areas in the 2.5 months of lockdown. Far more than official figure of 2535 deaths.

Bloody hell.

If that is true (and twitter is of course as reliable as wikipedia at the best of times) that is stark stuff indeed.

Watching the Trump press conference in disbelief, I can't believe this cunt is allowed to be leading this response.

They are now modelling for anywhere between 80-200k deaths as a best case it seems, without mitigation they were looking at 2.5m

He doesn’t give a shit as long as enough Americans are alive in November to return to the White House.

Donald is still talking Mitigation not surpression which

' focuses on slowing but not necessarily stopping epidemic spread – reducing peak healthcare demand while protecting those most at risk of severe disease from infection.....We find that that optimal mitigation policies (combining home isolation of suspect cases, home quarantine of those living in the same household as suspect cases, and social distancing of the elderly and others at most risk of severe disease) might reduce peak healthcare demand by 2/3 and deaths by half. However, the resulting mitigated epidemic would still likely result in hundreds of thousands of deaths and health systems (most notably intensive care units) being overwhelmed many times over. For countries able to achieve it, this leaves suppression as the preferred policy option.

yes look at the state of the socialist NHS because they don't have a leader like we have in the US

can't believe we've had it so under control while the rest of the world flails
