Coronavirus

I was about to post that even that would be ok, but yeah you’re right that would shit. Pretty much anything else, even Fosters would be fine.

I bought some fosters because it was the only thing the supermarket had in last week - I’d forgotten how shit it is.

I'd personally take Carling over Foster's.

Now, Heineken. THAT'S some piss water.

That might be your wrongest post in a massively long list of wrong posts.

I think Carling has the bonus of not being widely available here. Makes it seem exotic.

Foster's has a weird thickness for a lager that I just can't get over.

Heineken is a fucking shed load better than Carling or Fosters. A fucking shed load.

Possible they come from different brewing locations for distribution in the States? Heineken is absolutely dreadful here... I'd almost rather drink Bud Light.

Almost.

Heineken in the states tastes fine, I had a few last time I was over. I’m not a lager fan, but it’s a decent beer.

Agree to disagree. I can't remember the last time I tried one that wasn't completely skunked, no matter how "fresh" it was. Blegh.

Probably as it’s not a gassy lager - most of your lagers, and carling, are very gassy. Anyway, probably best to continue this on the beer thread and let this get back to Coronavirus and guns.

First garden job then is build some form of compost area and away you go. Doesn't have to be super flash or anything.

As much as I'd love me a little build project to pass a bit of time, don't think I've got enough materials to make myself a little composter, also given the half a tree or so I've hacked down over the last week or so think it would take just as long to clear it's way through the process as it would waiting for the garden bins to start back up.

If it weren't for the Mrs I'd risk having a go at teaching myself to do some of the indoor jobs I'll likely have to get assistance for but think the damage I'd do or mess I'd make in having a go would go a fair way to creating the first major bust up of our lockdown.

"Belarus president refuses to cancel anything - and says vodka and saunas will ward off COVID-19 "

Worth a try, surely...

Vodka never needs an excuse to be drunk out that way,the Ukrainians from Pripyat drank bottles of the stuff just after Chernobyl, they said it'll kill radiation, one of the first responders on scene was pissed,he survived longer than the others on his watch,so covid-19 has no chance.
Lukashenko is just bonkers, wouldn't say that out loud in Belarus though

It will get far worse Johnny. Cabin fever will see some fucking bizarre stuff coming out. When Langers types that he likes Kasabian then at least we know the world is fucked.

Reading my social media and this today I'm sure Langer's love of Kasabisn is going to hit before the virus peaks.

Just flipping through Uber Eats to see what is in our area for food options. Spotted a Budgens in Wednesbury, great stuff. Soft Drinks, snacks, alcohol and the like. BONUS. Then looked at the prices. 2ltr bottle of Pepsi Max - £4.29, get in the fucking sea. They have basically added at least 50% to normal prices and on key items a lot more.

The prices are why they still have stuff though - shelves are refilling elsewhere as most other places restrict numbers in the shop at any one time so they will be left with it unless they cut the price to normal levels.
