Coronavirus

I have to venture out for the first time in ages. I have to join the queue outside the chemists and pick up moms and hubbys prescriptions. I'm actually shitting bricks. You watch, I'll end up standing next to someone that coughs, and I know it doesn't mean that they have it, but it will go through my head. :(

Awful times. :(

Take 2 x 2 metre sticks and then beat to death anyone who comes near you in the queue....

With tongue firmly wedged in cheek if your the cougher no one will stand anywhere near you

Problem solved!

Seems to me that it’s a change of convenience allowing treatment at all ITUs rather than five or six hospitals with HCID capability that are listed in the document.

Probably.

Or that the fatality rate isn't as high as they expected now?

Wash your hands when you leave the house, and immediately when you get back home is my recommendation.

mrs jelly went to the local asda today. Says outside it is noticeable there are less people about than yesterday. greeters ask people to queue 2 metres apart. mrs jelly advised other people were distancing - walking around each other and maintaining a distance even on footpaths. Generally people are also being positive and communal in spirit with each other. The exception was one geezer not happy about the 2 toilet roll pack limit (he wanted 3) and then didn't know his PIN, and then it had to be pointed out to him his card was contactless.

Customers are having to queue to get in. One old dear apparently just walked right past the queue and pushed in at the very front. think the security made her go to the back... (it was after the protected hour).

PS those in the states, I'd be shitting myself if I was you. Fucking re-open by easter? Jesus fucking h christ learn from china and europe people. Fast prompt action. Lock everything down.

They can’t really know the mortality rate with knowing how many are infected. And that is back of a fag packet as they aren’t testing unless the person is hospitalised.

In happy news, over 250000 applications for volunteers in under 24 hours. Latest figure a few minutes ago is 252,000.

Apparently there may be waits of up to 72 hours for the activation email so I keep checking my inbox every hour.

Although there is footage from 9 March of him meeting possible super spreader Alexander Boris De Pfeffel Johnson. There was a lot of Covid in Westminster earlier in the month.

Came back without prescriptions. Queue was from Drs pharmacy across car park, across the CO OP car park. Shouted to a woman " Excuse me but is this the queue for just the pharmacy? " she ranted back " YES IT IS AND I'M A CARER WITH ONLY
TWO HOURS OFF WORK AND I NEED MY PAIN PILLS NOW " she then turns to a frail old man behind her and shouts "AND WILL YOU STEP BACK FROM ME"

I got back in the car and came home. I'll try again another day.

Yes also heard that yesterday. Langers has nailed it I think - the issue is though she probably thinks she is perfectly reasonable.

The majority of society are deeply fucking stupid, but no surprises there.

She seems like the type of pig-headed woman who thinks that shouting loudly in an argument means winning it.

University of Oxford reckon 50% of people in the UK have already been infected. Sounds absolutely wrong but if it's true it changes everything and those Oxford lot are known for being fairly bright

Apparently this report was taken out of context.

Essentially what it's saying is that there are lots of different possible scenarios based on the death data we have and we need serological testing to confirm.
