Coronavirus

Blimey Corbyn has turned into an attack dog. Anyone would think it was his last PMQs...

BTW - just took my gardening gear out back as I might as well give the place a good tidy up as my exercise for such a glorious afternoon. Amazing cloudless skies and not a single contrail anywhere. Really indicates how much air travel has completely shut down.

21 y/o dead. No underlying conditions.

Well Labour MP and Doctor, Dr Rosena Allin-Khan, said the other day that fit, healthy 30yr olds were fighting for their lives in ICU.... So that was either a massive game changer that should be headline news on the hour, every hour or its a lie.

It's not a lie, of that I am sure.

Anyway, I took advantage of the offie ruling and it was so much better than fighting in the Morrisons bear pit.

Plenty of stock and the place was empty so it was a doddle to practice self isolating. Plus I have given support to a local small business. It is eeriely quiet out there. Passed about four cars in total in 2 miles. A few people doing their gardens, an odd dog walker and that was just about it. That suggests that people are hopefully beginning to take this seriously.

Are people using their exercise time allowance?

I have adjusted the time I take the Dogs for a walk (telling a Springer and a Cocker to put their feet up is not workable) so now out before 6am.

Our cocker is doing very well out of it. 1hr walk with one of the kids in the morning, 1hr with wife and other child late afternoon, 1hr with me at about 8.

Not round my way. Plenty of activity on my street, so will suggest the wider area is the same.

I have a feeling that the self employed payment issue will be sorted tomorrow or Friday and that will follow with a stricter lockdown.

Little Nuno Espirito Spaniel is currently packing his bags and will be with you in a couple of hours...

I know the feeling, I have an 18 month old Sprocker who went mad yesterday because I was at home and didn't take him on his second walk.

The local park has been very busy since the pubs were shut, I'm not sure I've ever seen so many people out. I see they've had to shut Himley Hall park because people were ignoring the self isolation rule.

Those horror movies had it all wrong, it wasn't the ferociousness of the Zombie disease, it would be the general publics stupidity that failed to prevent the destruction of civilisation

No, but if it helps stop complacency (you cannot comprehend how selfish people are), then the message needs to be out there.

Considering she's still practising and worked in A&E at the weekend I'd say the former.

Well if its not a lie its a game changer and needs to be headline news as a warning to those people and industries still working needlessly.
This should be ahead of any fucking Prince Charles news.

Our dog is also going a bit mad. But - rather hilariously - we have discovered that he barks like crazy if you wave at him. So naturally, we've waved at him quite a lot.

Pleased to say that people seem to be respecting the rules around here - very, very quiet, only the occasional young family unit walking by.

Absolutely.

Amazing how the royal family can get tested so quickly, but fuck you if you work in a hospital and want testing.

Take Ozzy out around 5:30am and 9pm for about 30 mins each and for about an hour around lunchtime.

My garden is starting to look lovely and the homebase delivery is here, so the fence panels are going to be Forest Oak in a few days.

Well, quiet other than that bloody dog who keeps barking!!

I'm at work at a hospital. No social distancing. Ward clerks coming in and out willy nilly. There's hand sanitizer in the kitchen though. It just feels like everything is being done a bit too late. I asked my boss if we should distancing ourselves a little and limiting who comes in and out and he said no one else in the offices is yet. Great. You'll wonder why everyone is off for 7/14 days soon enough.

Bits I've heard up here...
81 year old man was attacked in Darlington yesterday afternoon and "relieved" of his pension money
Ambulance driving through a housing estate in Middlesbrough was pelted with bricks (it's their fault Coronavirus is spreading apparently) and
NHS staff have been warned to not walk around wearing their NHS ID's as some have been stolen to gain access to supermarkets.

absolute scum in this country, it's a shame Covid-19 cant be a little more selective with who it "attacks"
