We really need to go for the jugular in this one I think, get a win against a team who struggle to score more than we do and get our form back on track. We played well against United but I think a 4231 is in order for this one. I wouldn't be against Hoever starting again but I reckon Semedo will start and I'd like to see more of Vitinha.

Rui
Semedo Coady Saiss RAN
Moutinho Neves
Podence Vitinha Neto
Silva

2-0 to us I reckon, Neto and Silva.

Rui
Coady - Saiss - Kilman
Semedo - Neves - Otasowie - RAN
Traore - Silva - Neto

I'm going similar but don't mind which of Hoever or Semedo starts, I'd also give the old guy a break. Would like to rest Neto but just can't leave him out atm

need a win here, but think it could be tough. Brighton are an odd side, can be really good just missing goals really.

I'd go 4231. Podence behind Fabio.

Neto can have a rest in the FA Cup

Traore for Vitinha probably more likely for Nuno but I’d be happy with either.

As for other posters selecting Otasowie over Moutinho, I wouldn’t be doing that In a game where we would be hopefully trying to control the game. I don’t think he’s shown enough ability to do anything beyond be safe in possession

only reason(s) I'm preferring Otasowie over Moutinho for this one is Joao has had 2 really intense games and also hoping he can put the Brighton midfield under pressure with his energy and athleticism, giving Neves time to pull the strings.

This team for me, let's get at them and beat them.

Same really, plus we really lack a CM able to get forward and support the forwards with Donk out.

I’m glad nobody has put up our record against them in the top flight.

Let’s go at them. 4-2-3-1 for me with Podence and Silva coming in for Kilman and Vitanha.

Plenty of selection options, I couldn't really argue that strongly against anyone else's choices, although I do think we should go four at the back for this.

I've chosen the team I feel is most likely to get goals for us.

Adama gets a bench break for me, not sure what's wrong with him but he looks like he needs a rest or something. Going to give Vitinha a start and see what he can do.

Toyed with Otasowie but chose Moutinho's experience as I've already selected a few young lads

We need to have a real go at them so 4 - 2 - 3 - 1 formation

Coady & Saiss at the back & Silva up front to give a focal point

3 from 4 of Neto, Podence, Traore & Vitanha in the 3 with Neves & probably Otasowie behind them (would like Moutinho in, but he's played 2 hard games in the last few days & Neto can take corners etc.)

FB's whatever - wouldn't be unhappy with any of them depending on fitness.

A must win for me. I don't even think a draw would be ok. Lose this or even draw and we could be 15th in a heartbeat.
Team same as against Manure to start. Maybe bring in Otasawie on after 70 mins. I would also like to see Theo given a little run. He's much stronger than Fabio and good with his head. I think Podence is going to be on the injury list. 2 x whacks on his achilles with no time to treat it.

Agree with this team. Very attacking, and I am dubbing it the Portugeezers. 8/11 starters! That's about the most we can put out isn't it? (ignoring the non-first teamers)

Is he particular energetic and athletic? He’s certainly quick when he gets going but doesn’t look the quickest off the mark and I can’t say he gets around the pitch as much as a Dendoncker. Moutinho certainly gets around the pitch pressing well without breaking into the box. But this may well be instruction as he’s unlikely to win a header and better placed outside the box to sustain the attack/pick up loose ball/maintain defensive shape.

I'm assuming Joao is fucked and Donk still injured.
He looks pretty athletic and energetic to me....bit gangly and awkward perhaps

Tredmans team if we go three. Sycophantias team if we go four. Challenge accepted from Sniffer. O wins 3 draws 7 defeats in the top flight. We have an awful record against them

however things change. They haven’t won at home in 12 so this is number 13, which pleases me naturally and our last win here was in 2016 in that new year fixture so I would take a bit of symmetry there. I think we will win 2 1 Silva and Neves to score !

Not sure if he has any chance for this but we could do with Dendoncker today. Think Bissouma is the type of player Neves and Moutinho struggle with when we play them both together

I think the “can’t play together” is only really relevant in a 3-4-3. Makes us too easy to play against and predictable with too many people behind the ball.

If we play 4-2-3-1 I’d be picking them 100/100 if fit.
