apparently it is 3 years since we lost a game where we took the lead?
Ah man, what have you gone and done that for? I've been holding that in for weeks.Obligatory whisper but we still haven't conceded from a set piece (bar penalties) yet, have we?
Impressive. Kilman improving his ability in the air has been massive for us, he wins loads now, last season you couldn't get the Express & Star under his feet.
I must've misunderstood it when you said our progressive players are not and they have little to no threat.I said our attacking players, or those that are assumed to be attacking, have little or no end impact and that they are not as potent or consistent as some would expect them to be. My own eyes and their stats back me up. I didn't say we don't have any attacking talent.
I didn't see a great deal of Ait-Nouri in person at Angers and so can only go on the videos of what he played like there. I haven't seen anything consistently similar since he's been here.
I do like him though and think he's been great this season [nod to Marcal while I'm at it as he was good last night covering him], so don't think the 'comment is unnecessary'.
But all Adama's pre-Wolves goals were in the Championship, Hwang's were nearly all in Austria, most of Trincao's were in Portugal, most of Podence's were in Greece. Not the same standard.Based on that pre Wolves strike rate we should expect about 13 league goals a season from them based on 2 playing at any one time. The Wolves strike rate is more like 6
Of course our mistake in 'that' game was going 2-0 up. Commentators always say that's the most dangerous scoreline...Cardiff away I think. We were shit, deserved to lose.
League only of course, there's some game or other in London where it might have happened in the cup.
And presumably playing in more dominant sides at those lower levels too, which should lead to more chances. But all Adama's pre-Wolves goals were in the Championship, Hwang's were nearly all in Austria, most of Trincao's were in Portugal, most of Podence's were in Greece. Not the same standard.
Yep, Hwang was playing for Salzburg, Podence for Olympiacos. And presumably playing in more dominant sides at those lower levels too, which should lead to more chances.
By that metric no data is relevant to the PL.But all Adama's pre-Wolves goals were in the Championship, Hwang's were nearly all in Austria, most of Trincao's were in Portugal, most of Podence's were in Greece. Not the same standard.
Leave my arse out of this, will ya!?Better than having a dire rear.
We took the lead against one of the relegated sides last season and lost or is it just from opening the scoring?apparently it is 3 years since we lost a game where we took the lead?
So we have players who don't score many in a fairly conservative system
Realistically it’s why we should have gone for Watkins or Toney a year or so ago . I wouldn’t mind Chris wood either. I know he’s knocking on but he can hold the ball up well and he scores both cf type goals and poachers finishes. Extra height in defence and he could work in the current system. Now that’s just me. No need for any machine gunning ! I know most won’t rate him but given the money he would do a decent job and Fabio can go on loan for two yearsThat’s exactly what it is. We still create chances and very good ones but none of our forward players make good choices in the final third. See Podence, Adama and Trincao in the second half last night. The game should have been out of sight after 60 minutes.
