Bratislava Home Game Build Up

Put Jota in that team and the pullbacks from Traore and Doc become much more useful.

I don't agree either, but we don't score enough goals for the promising positions we get ourselves in. Not just last night, but most weeks

Agree with that. Put Jota in for Neto and we win that 3-0

Make their keeper play like he did in the away leg and we win that 4-0.

After his shocker over there he had a great game at Molineux.

I thought it was a most enjoyable game, we played some lovely football at times with only a few scares at the back. We mostly dominated and created quite a few chances with Moutinhos deflected effort and Rauls low shot producing good saves from their keeper. When Neves missed the penalty thought it was going to be one of them games but we kept going and increased the pressure. Looked a nasty injury to their defender, glad he's ok. Traore overall played well but his cross/final ball let him down most of the time, even his assist was a high looping cross but Raul did his thing and we got a deserved win. Thought most of them had good games although Vinagre was a bit all over the place at times. Didn't think Neto was as bad as some on here, not much came off for him but won the penalty and always wanted the ball, also linked play a couple of times, it will take a while to build the understanding with Vinagre, lets face it, Jonny/Jota and Doc/Traore didn't happen overnight.

I think having Traore in the team allows us to play 2 in midfield.

The opposition double up on Traore leaving space elsewhere and even when they do double up he still makes things happen. Either getting a cross in, winning a corner or committing a defender.

I'd much rather have him than play against him

Noticed last night Moutinho and Neves swapping roles often, taking it in turns to drop deep to receive the ball. Also first half we overloaded the left hand side a lot to make more room for Doc and Traore

A great win, there keeper had a very good game. Traore ripoed there left side to shreds, if he had a final ball my word what a player he would be

Neto was better 2nd half which wasn't hard cos he was woeful in the 1st half.
Loved the little through balls we played last night, sadly we decided to stop any through balls once Cutrone came on.I fear we will never play to that blokes strengths.

This is my frustration with him. I get people like being entertained and the defenders do double up on him because they think he's a danger but all those tricks (like Vinagre) mean the square root of Nowt unless you have an end product.

Andy is right that 3-4-3 works because our inside forwards are fast and tricky and tax defenders, we just need Traore to get an end product or replace him with somebody who has.

Are we agreed it wasn't a penalty? Foul just outside the box? And Neves may be a designated penalty taker but the sooner that's changed the better. Bloody awful penalty.

Looked on the line to me. Pen was the right call.

He definitely doesn't need replacing, he's been one of out better players this season and he was very good last night. He got an assist last night and in general his end product has not been terrible, you're always going to get some inconsistency from wingers in that regard unless you are talking about the very elite players.

You wouldn't take Zaha or Aubameyang instead of Traore?

His assist was a huge deflection. He wasn't the only poor crosser last night though.

Wolves wouldn't have a chance of signing either of those players.

Zaha has been poor this season and Aubameyang is a completely different type of player to Traore, he has played wide in Arsenals system but he's not really a winger.

I think Traore has 7 assists and 2 goals this season.

Whilst his crosses are frustrating at times, he is starting to contribute. My own view is that his general play is improving and that this is the first time in his career he's looked like an actual footballer.

He has excellent end product this season, he’s improved hugely defensively and his link up play with Doc is superb, playing reverse passes and playing balls in between defenders as he did last night. And that’s before you take into account the opposition doubling and sometimes tripling up on him which creates space for the rest of the team, and how quickly he can take us from a defensive position to the opposition third.

Anyone not seeing the value we get from him clearly just doesnt want to see it.

Traore has 5 assists of which only 1 is in the league, 1 in the EL groups and his 2 goals came in one game (19 appearances in total). Don't get me wrong I agree with you he has improved massively as a footballer but if the money for Zaha was there I would buy him tomorrow.

Zaha would've gone to Everton in the summer and it is really only the money that is stopping us buying him. Both players play as wide or inside forwards and both could easily play in Adama's role and be better in it. That's not to say I would throw Adama away completely as I think he would always be a good squad option and a fantastic impact sub for Jota or the other forward.

Troare has been our best player overall so far this season, atleast results wise. Multiple motm and has looked like the only threat in most matches. Talk about end product all you want, but he has more crosses in the box than the rest of our team put together. He draws out 2,3 defenders every time he makes a run and gets a cross or a foul or a corner 90% of the time, hes the only one or our team opening up space. We are playing against teams who are putting 9,10 players in the box every time they defend, why do you think nuno has him hugging the line every game, instead of cutting inside?
