Boris at it again and the contest to replace the lying c***

I've skim read it, but on the bright side I am now considering an Apple Mac !

And to be clear You've posted it, it's entitled 'Why are rich people so mean' subtitled 'Rich Arsehole Syndrome' on a politics thread, does it need analysing ?

When it uses such mind blowing scientific analysis as "Psychologists Dacher Keltner and Paul Piff monitored intersections with four-way stop signs and found that people in expensive cars were four times more likely to cut in front of other drivers, compared to folks in more modest vehicles"
When Keltner and Piff left a jar of candy in the entrance to their lab with a sign saying whatever was left over would be given to kids at a nearby school, they found that wealthier people stole more candy from the babies."
"many traits characteristic of psychopaths are celebrated in business: ruthlessness, a convenient absence of social conscience, a single-minded focus on “success.”

Quality reading, please let me know when you want to post something from your 'Anyones got more than me is a bastard ' series
"

Fucking hell.

I've not skim read it, I read it all. I'm not sure what new insight it offers though. Just confirms my view of the world

Fucking hell.

Which monumental scientific breakthrough won you over, the guessing peoples status by the car they drive at an intersection or the tub of sweets at the lab entrance (I'm sure its backed up knowledge of anyone who entered the labs financial status etc, ratio of peoples wealth et al. )
Come on you're an intelligent chap, you're better than this !

Have you ever heard of a company called Ayanda Capital? Unless you are a currency trader probably not.

It is owned by the Horlick family through an entity based in Mauritius, one of the worst tax havens in the world.

Our government spent a cool quarter of a BILLION quid with them to supply face masks. Ayanda were the only bidders. Seriously, why would a currency trader based in Mauritius be given a contract for RPE?

There is an interesting character involved with Ayanda called Andrew Mills. His LinkedIn profile says that he is a senior board adviser to the company... and an adviser to Liz Truss and The Board of Trade. There is indeed an Andrew Mills listed as an adviser to The Board of Trade.

Lots of the winning tenders were the only bidders. One bidder for facemasks was an employment consultant with assets of £322.

Are these just companies who quickly bought a load of masks and then sold to the government for profit? Or is it more sinister?

Well this is the same Government that gave a Shipping contract to a company with no ships and and whose T&C's, on their website, were taken from a takeaway outlet and didn't change any parts of it...so which direction do you think this heads?

So the latest Tory test the water before we announce it stuff is on Stamp Duty.

Apparently going to be a 6 month holiday for houses under 500k. Great news but then its followed up with it will be from the Autumn. If they are pausing Stamp Duty payments to help the house market get going again then surely delaying will just cause short term issues. If people can see a way of saving a couple of thousand they will wait. Could see a few sale chains collapse if they do it that way.

Downing Street has confirmed that the Prime Minister has had a haircut.

Well isn't that great news and well worth reporting.

If only it was with Sweeney Todd and he's currently being turned into a selection of artisan pies.

So, I am guessing the reaction has made Sunik go for an immediate change to the Stamp Duty threshold. No Stamp Duty for homes under 500k until the end of March next year.

Personally - fooking delighted with that.

£15 Billion extra money has been spent on PPE. Now I know that it was vital to get hold of it and the likelihood is that bidding wars were taking place but has it all been spent wisely?

My mind goes back to what James O'Brien calls the plane load of PPE from the Turkish Del Trotter.

Interesting fact about our esteemed Prime Minister. Did you know he doesn't have the top level (Developed Vetting) security clearance? Essentially because he can't be fucking trusted.

So there are certain briefs that he will never receive unless someone with DV recounts them to him. The actual Prime Minister. We've just got rid of one of the few people in Mark Sedwill who has that level and who would be in the position to do that.

Hardly anyone in the Cabinet has it and they won't get it either because of their track record and/or what is known about them. I doubt for instance that Priti "sacked for borderline treason" Patel has it. It's ok though, she's only the Home Secretary.

He doesn't believe hard enough, mate.

Nothing in this Government is based on competency or experience. It's "do you agree with Dom". Nothing else.

No Prime Minister in history has ever failed to gain this level of security clearance, so many of the Cabinet are obviously compromised too. How about Grant "Internet fraud" Shapps or Robert "pal of Richard Desmond" Jenrick? It's a shocking state of affairs.

Intelligence & Chris Grayling...nope doesn't work.

If Boris is hoping he can bury the Russian Report then get ready for it to be released via the Sun

From the Guardian.

The Cabinet Office has awarded an £840,000 contract to research public opinion about government policies to a company owned by two long-term associates of Michael Gove and Dominic Cummings, without putting the work out for tender.

Public First, a small policy and research company in London, is run by James Frayne, whose work alongside Cummings – the prime minister’s senior adviser – dates back to a Eurosceptic campaign 20 years ago, and Rachel Wolf, a former adviser to Gove who co-wrote the Conservative party’s 2019 election manifesto.

Let's save them the £840k and tell them we all think they are a bunch of corrupt fucking cunts run by an unelected svengali who will be first against the wall when the revolution comes.

10 point lead still according to YouGov

Whatever Boris has over the Country I would love someone to explain it to me
