Boris at it again and the contest to replace the lying c***

https://twitter.com/EdConwaySky/status/1228279325344051200

I'm sure Tubbs will face the same level of criticism for "selling our gold" as Gordon Brown has done for the last 20+ years.

Of course that was a nonsense and what's actually happened here (as well as some very, very weird numbers) is that idiot Truss spewing out nonsense figures. But she hasn't got the wit to do that herself, it all comes from the top.

It won't provide a choice, Birmingham to London would only be via HS2, the WCML would no longer offer a high speed inter city journey between the two.

So given the exclusivity of the service I would expect travelling between Birmingham and London to increase massively else the line is going to be very quiet. I really cannot see an increase in people wanting to visit Birmingham unless they triple the size of the airport etc. Either way you've got the same amount of disposable income people are willing to spend so I cannot see how this will actually make money therefore it'll cost a fortune to use it. How many people actually travel between London and Birmingham by train ?

The figures come from the ONS therefore there has to be a corresponding debit somewhere, but if they are using those figures it would be safe to assume the Gold was either an asset of the exchequer or failing that a service charge on transporting the stuff. Wonder where it went? It is no different to the parasites in the city having their gambling gains listed as exports. Truss is merely the messenger.

It's not just about the inter city passenger journeys that will utilise the new route. You free up massive capacity on the existing infrastructure for local and freight services too. There may turn out to be a far bigger increase in local commuters across Birmingham as increased capacity provides more viable options for people who currently are forced to travel by road. Could have a similar impact on taking freight off the roads as there will be much greater capacity for far more efficient rail transport to take bulk loads from ports to local hubs.

It's an idea that's been terribly advertised, for some bizarre reason all the focus has been on the timing saving provided to a few routes when that's a negligible benefit compared to other potential impacts.

Say hi to one of the weirdos and misfits that Megamind Dom has hired.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p050z9xs

1) Who speaks like that?!

2) What a monumentally stupid idea. Good to see we have the real deep thinkers at the heart of Government.

That just had the look of a spoof, was fully expecting him to link back to Alan Partridge in the studio

Other things he's said are deeply worrying, given he will be having a direct input into government policy:

Sabisky, 27, has claimed black Americans have a lower than average IQ than white people and are more likely to have an “intellectual disability”. He also tweeted: “I am always straight up in saying that women’s sport is more comparable to the Paralympics than it is to men’s.”

In an interview from 2016, Sabisky said he was interested in the narcolepsy drug modafinil, which also reduces the need for sleep in healthy people by two-thirds and potentially helps brain function, although there is evidence of a higher risk of people getting Stevens-Johnson syndrome, a life-threatening skin condition.

Sabisky said: “From a societal perspective the benefits of giving everyone modafinil once a week are probably worth a dead kid once a year.”

He wrote on Cummings’ website in 2014 that in order to get around unplanned pregnancies in the UK, long-term contraception should be legally enforced.

“One way to get around the problems of unplanned pregnancies, creating a permanent underclass, would be to legally enforce universal uptake of long-term contraception at the onset of puberty,” he wrote. “Vaccination laws give it a precedent, I would argue.”

You let an unhinged freak hire anyone he wants with no checks and no restrictions and this is what you end up with.

Seems Dom doesn't mind this kind of unelected bureaucrat, presumably as they agree with him and his nutbar ideas.

He's gone now. Railing against "selective quoting".

Fuck off you oddball, you said all those things.

Sabisky seems a real stand up guy. This is him on Reddit:

ERAbqAXXUAMwVxT

Also talks about rape and incest fantasies.

So long as we're getting all the best people in.

You're selectively choosing there pal...

I'd love to know the context in which young Andy thinks these comments should be taken, and then they'll be ok :icon_lol: Because so far we have eugenics, white supremacy and sexual violence.

Has anyone other than me ever tried to read Cummings' blog? He is genuinely one of the worst writers I have ever seen. And once again I must point out that as a control subject, I have read every single blog that Richard Keys has ever written.

Would you like some of Dom's writing? Of course you would.

Those of you in the narcissist-delusional subset of the ERG who have spent the last three years scrambling for the 810 Today slot while spouting gibberish about trade and the law across SW1 — i.e exactly the contemptible behaviour that led to your enforced marginalisation during the referendum and your attempt to destroy Vote Leave — you are also in the pirate category. You were useful idiots for Remain during the campaign and with every piece of bullshit from Bill Cash et al you have helped only Remain for three years. Remember how you WELCOMED the backstop as a ‘triumph’ in December 2017 when it was obvious to everybody who knew what was going on — NOT the Cabinet obviously — that this effectively ended the ‘negotiations’? Remember how Bernard Jenkin wrote on ConHome that he didn’t have to ‘ruin his weekend’ reading the document to know it was another success for the natural party of government — bringing to mind very clearly how during the referendum so many of you guys were too busy shooting or skiing or chasing girls to do any actual work. You should be treated like a metastasising tumour and excised from the UK body politic.

It's just fucking drivel.

He obviously has the kernel of intelligence somewhere but no idea how to use it. He witters on about science all the time but he's not a scientist. He claims to have taught himself maths to a post-grad level, of course you did sweetheart.

I find it genuinely concerning that such a fruitcake is so close to the heart of power in this country, at such a critical time.

I'm not even joking, it's a huge problem.

One of the most extraordinary aspects of English politics and education is the lack of structured, disciplined thought about what works and doesn’t work, and how to build reliable systems that allow improvement in performance. (Most of those with power in the English education system are much more interested in appearing to be ‘on the side of the poor and less able’ than they are in raising standards, so many policy debates are really just exercises in moral exhibitionism. Oxbridge power structures are much more interested in appeasing political forces than they are in raising standards, and they deliberately suppress the views of their own leading academics in order to avoid political controversy.) Most activity in Whitehall occurs without asking ‘who, somewhere in the world, has already solved this problem?’, and people can be remarkably resentful if one asks this question. A ‘learning feedback loop’ would bring a scientific approach to education that would allow the system overall to deliver high performance even though most of the people involved are (by definition) of roughly average ability. Many of the changes made 2010-14 were aimed at allowing such a ‘learning feedback loop’ to develop. Without it, education will remain a patchy cottage industry dominated by ‘house price rationing’ and avoidable problems.

Someone who writes impenetrable drivel like this and believes himself to be a pioneering genius is effectively running the Government, because we have a fat cunt in charge who has now achieved what he wanted and can't be arsed. Just the status and the entry in Who's Who will do.

That said, you get the politicians you deserve as an electorate. Poor people voted Tory (and especially this version of Tory), well enjoy that then. How you get to a situation where people in Redcar and Dudley are voting for Boris Johnson is incredible.

Minor news but only just spotted that James Cleverley got removed as Tory party chairman last week.

Imagine shilling that hard for a complete wanker and he sacks you anyway once you've outlived your usefulness.

Obviously I have zero sympathy for him as he's a prick.

Hope he replaced him with a chair

Sabisky seems to have come to doms attention by posting replies on his blog.
nice to see a fair and open application process for these roles working for dom, eh?
