Boris at it again and the contest to replace the lying c***

Second prorogation confirmed for next week to avoid PMQs.

Fucking coward.

You described yourself as a hard left winger on Saturday...

Hard left compared to Comrade Johnny... I think I said that I've gone "more left the older I've got". I'm still well to the right of Stalin ;)

You were actually talking about football so my joke there has hit the target like a Gábor Gyepes free kick...

I suppose the same way in which 0.12% of the population voted for the current PM (who doesn't even have a Parliamentary majority), and how a climate change denying, tiny set of lunatics who don't believe dinosaurs existed have propped up the Government for more than two years.

To be fair it's good to see them flexing their political muscles and trying to punch above their weight. Never did it once during 2010-15 but I suppose they've learned.

Corbyn is no more "hard left" than I am, in fact I reckon he's LESS of a "leftie" than me

Momentum have him by the bollocks already. They're the hard left SocialistS I'm talking about and he's too weak a man to stop them and the Unions. Fuck that.

And Mike you are hard left.

The Tories won't let JC fight a GE from a position of incumbency.

Any plan that is based on Tories not acting like Tories is doomed to fail.

Why is it so vital that a temp PM is Corbyn?

I think Corbyn is weak and would be a poor PM, but as bad as Johnson, who is essentially an Etonian Trump? FFS, come on!
In that scenario Corbyn isn't the concern. Its Milne and Mccluskey that are the risk.

A weak leader with significant prerogative powers, controlled by those two?

No thanks.

If it is only temporary then why not?

He's already got the loyalty of 286 MPs.
The govt falls the opposition get first pop at forming a govt.
Time is short and this is the path of least resistance.

If the fear is that he uses his several days in power to pass the enabling act, rule by decree and build the gulags then I really have nothing to say to anyone that believes that. It's like having an argument with a flat earther.

The concern over why JC simply must be PM, is for me, about the prerogative powers a PM has.

Can we trust Milne and Mccluskey not to whisper in his ear?

How hard would d it be to persuade a life president of CND to withdraw our deterrent to Faslane, for example?

What if, during his tenure, Russia entered the Baltic States? We have a tripwire force there, predicated on the idea that the Russians would know a British PM wouldn't tolerate them being attacked. Woukd that still be the case?

His manifesto is fine. He, himself, fucking nightmare.

Or could it be you are far right? You're talking about voting Lib Dems after all. Don't get much further right than austerity.

He's already had disagreements with McCluskey. It's a myth that he's a pacifist too as he wanted military intervention in Rwanda. He is in favour of unilateral nuclear disarmament but he has also agreed to be bound by the party conference on its Trident policy.

Yeah, the whole world is hard right apart from the socialists.

Seems balanced.

If the Russians attack the Baltic's,it'll be Lithuania, there's a railway through there that the the Lithuanians allow from Russia to Kaliningrad, dead easy for Russia to say they were protecting trade and it cuts the other two Baltic countries off in one fell swoop, making them harder for NATO to defend, all the other stuff vis was on about,I dunno

You realise the government will only fail with a vote of no confidence and the Lib Dems backing a government of unity without a leader of any party as leader?

If you hard left people want a government call a vote of no confidence. You had your chance of having a GE and didn't go for it because you know Corbyn can't be put into power without the consent of others so now you want the others to put you in power.

It's nuts that people think it's others holding Corbyn back.

That's absolutely hilarious. And all about perspective. You are like a bloke sitting in Carlisle insisting everyone from Penrith down is a Southerner.

You're not suggesting austerity is a centrist position? They cut things even Thatcher would have winced at.

I'd love a GE but this one is all about timing to ensure BJ doesn't take us out on the 31st. It may happen by default or he may say fuck the law and do it anyway. I wouldn't trust him if he told me it was Thursday.

No. I am suggesting you are really rather left wing and so everyone else looks massively right wing from your viewpoint. In every spectrum there are shades.
