Best holiday destinations

Been at least once a year for the last 25 years, my father in law has a place there, what do you want to know ?

Whats the nightlife like in Orlando? Obviously the nightclub massacre tarnished it's rep, but Im wondering if you know any good clubs or bars? Also where should we eat?

We are staying at the Rosen opposite Pointe mall on I-Drive. It's close to the Theme parks but I don't wanna eat dinner in Wendys or local diners every night, so what are best places to eat? Also, would you advise about walking around there or getting taxis?

Which theme parks would you recommend?

Lastly, our cruise ship departs from Port Canaveral. Whats the best way to get there? Private taxi or shuttle?

Dale Hollow Lake, Kentucky, mooring at different spots in a Houseboat. I can't wait. Don't think I've ever looked forward to a holiday as much as this :) . Never done this kind of a holiday before.

Going to Bali in September which looks ace.

So the better half has suggested going to Thailand later this year (probably November/December time - suits me if I can escape from the shitty British weather around then). I'll need to save but I'd love to go there. Stan/anyone else who has been - any recommendations/advice/general views?

I don't find them attractive, it's just confusing.

I KNEW you were going to pipe up with something along those lines! :icon_lol:

Just been on an overnight ferry trip to Ypres. Very moving experience to visit the battlefields and some of the cemeteries round there.

A worthwhile experience, though not quite as "holiday" as most destinations suggested on here!

The green curry is hotter than the red curry.... Or is it the other way around?

Hope that helps.

On my third night in Florence, it's a lovely city, well worth visiting.

Heading to Rome tomorrow.

Sorry, only just seen this. Did you visit the Passchendaele battlefield!

1. Take a trip to the Bridge over the River Kwai, about an hour and a half coach ride from Bangkok from memory
2. Pack a ping pong bat

I agree with this. Stunning, never been to Rome but would like to one day.

I loved Florence and Sienna. And yet I thought Pisa was basically a shithole suburb of Livorno.

Florence and Siena are both lovely. Pisa is a shithole, with an over exposed attraction, the blot on the Tuscan landscape.

Florence is majestic. Absolutely beautiful place.

Concur with the views on Pisa too.
