Collected my three free beers off honestbrew. Got them in the post yesterday -

1 x Lumepimedus White IPA - 6.5% - Puhaste
1 x Pale Ale - 5.1% - The Garden Brewery
1 x Broken Dream Stout - 6% - Siren

Along with the Honestbrew bar blade & branded glass.

Added the following to make up the order -

1 x High Tor Red IPA - 6.3% - Buxton
1 x The Fixer Hoppy Red Ale - 5.5% - O'Brother
1 x Sleepless Amber Ale - 5.4% - Redwillow
1 x Hop Hand Fallacy - Lost & Grounded
1 x Pfaff Belgium Pale Ale - 5.2% - Pressure Drop
1 x Tannenzapfle Pilsner - 5.1% - Rothaus
1 x Eternal Session IPA - 4.1% - Northern Monk

Had the Redwillow amber ale last night which was phenomenal.

Aye that Redwillow is absolutely spot on. Perfect.

Fabulous aroma, but the beer itself didn't quite match up to it; something was missing from making it top tier.



Session IPA was solid enough imo. Looking forward to trying some others one day

Anyone had much from Harpoon before? Mate gave me a box of beers he didn’t want, seems to be Boston themed so a load from them.

Sounds like the latest Beer 52 box. All ok but nothing stood out for me..

That Garden Pale is ace. Everything you could want in an easy drinking smashable pale. Proper 4-pack beer.

Sipping an 11% Sour Cherry Imperial Stout from Cloudwater. Absolutely belting, thick, luxurious and the sour cherry comes right at the end helping to mask any alcohol burn.

I couldn't work out if I liked it or not, it tasted exactly like a jam doughnut but I couldn't wrap my head around it being a beer!

Whether you like their pubs or not (The Bull in Codsall is Marston's and it's very decent), they are possibly THE major employer in Wolverhampton now Carillion have gone. So this is not really good news.
