They had some in Cotteridge fo £11 a bottle. Couldn't jusitfy it but I might have to get one last bottle before it's all gone...

They have some in Pint Shop for £9. I might have to get one and toast them on Christmas day. With a tear in my eye.

It's in my top 5 beers. I'm genuinely upset by this.

XPA session IPA - Five Points - 5% (had before)
Man from Dunkel- Mondo - 5%
Eternal - Northern Monk - 4.1% (had before)
Lapis Lazuli BA Sour Red Ale - Beavertown - 8.2% (not had this before but had a couple of similar and didn’t really like)
Colca Dipa - Track - 8%
Rosa Rouge - Wild Beer Co - 5%
Sleeping Limes Sour - Wild Beer Co - 4.5% (had before)
White Sow Noteo Milk Stout - White Hag - 5.2% (sounds horrible)
Broken Dream Stout - Siren - 6% (sounds horrible)

A reasonable selection but I imagine I’ll palm at least half of them off on my father in law when he’s down at Christmas.

Asked the wife to check what was in it and all she said was 'it's heavy'

White Hag brew some great beers. The Siren Broken Dream is good too. Sleeping Limes is dreadful.

I wouldn't be poo-pooing thos stouts before you've tried them Jinks. They're both awesome!

Broken Dream was this year's CAMRA Champion IIRC.

The secret selection I got was:

Wild Beer - Sleeping Limes (Lime salted lager)
Northern Monk - Eternal (Session IPA)
Five Points - XPA (Extra Pale Ale)
Siren - Broken Dream (Coffee Stout)
White Hag - The White Sow (Oatmeal Chocolate Milk Stout (although the packing note said Nitro Milk Stout))
Siren - Cradle of Culture (Sour DIPA)
Hanssens - Oude Gueze
Mondo - Man From Dunkel
Amundsen - Double Apocalypse (NE DIPA)

Pretty happy with that for £20 tbf. Some interesting beers, and the filler is pretty decent too.
